Rob may be teaming up with Dakota Johnson in the new ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ film after all! A movie insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Rob could have the part right away if he wants it. So do you think he should take it?
Robert Pattinson is more than just in the running for the role of Christian Grey in the new Fifty Shades Of Grey film after Charlie Hunnam dropped out on Oct. 13. In fact, a movie insider EXCLUSIVELY revealed to HollywoodLife.com that the part is Rob’s for the taking.
Why Robert Pattinson Could Play Christian Grey
It looks like there’s a chance Rob, 27, could be teaming up with Dakota Johnson on the new film, as producers scramble to find their new leading man. If Rob wants to play Christian, all he has to do is say the word because he was — and still is — author E.L. James‘ first choice for the part, an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“It’s his role if he wants it,” the source says. Clearly, the filmmakers would love Rob’s sex appeal, his experience carrying a movie franchise, and of course his enormous fan base.
The insider also stated that the main requirement for Charlie’s replacement is that he has to have “chemistry” with Dakota. Yeah, we’re thinking that wouldn’t be an issue for R-Patz.
Why ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey Won’t Be Canceled
Charlie dropping out of Fifty Shades has thrown the filmmakers for a loop, but the show must go on. The insider also told us there’s “no way” the film won’t make it to the big screen after this road bump.
“Not a chance in hell,” says the source. “Studios like money [and] this film is a blank check and has a great chance to make serious cash. They will find their Christian and move on.”
Rob, just do everyone a favor and take the role. Please!
Now it’s your turn to sound off, HollywoodLifers. Do you think Rob would do well in the Christian Grey role?
