The blonde-haired beauty opens up about her wedding, the dress for her special day and her collection with TopShop.
Kate Bosworth looks absolutely amazing on the cover of Lucky, where the 30-year-old actress poses in a floral Stella McCartney dress accented by a thin red belt and wavy blonde locks. The glossy pages include the just-married actress in a couple of dashing designer pieces — and she also opened up about her marriage and wedding!
Kate Bosworth’s Wedding:
Kate admits that she never fantasized about her dream wedding until she found her beau. “I had never thought about my wedding dress before I got engaged,” says Bosworth, a mere 12 days before she is to wed film director Michael Polish… “I never actually thought about what I wanted for my wedding. There are some women who know exactly, from the moment they can speak. But for me I needed to find the man in order to understand the bigger picture.”
Kate Bosworth On Oscar de la Renta:
The actress expresses her gratitude towards Oscar de la Renta for designing her beautiful wedding gown. “He’s just seen it all, and the fact that I’ll be able to share my most important moment to date with him is profound.” She stops and smiles, remembering. “I couldn’t control my reaction to sitting with him and talking with him about my wedding dress. I was trying not to cry, so I probably had a bizarre twisted face on.”
Kate Bosworth On Her Wedding Day:
The bride takes advice from her friend before the reception. “Don’t try not to cry. If you’re going to cry, cry. When you try not to, it’s the worst picture-face of all time. “I’ll keep that in mind,” says Bosworth. “I supposed the best thing I’ve learned is to just be in the moment. It’s one of those clichés, but it’s true: if you try and control too much then you’ll really miss all the magic.”
Kate Bosworth On Her Collaboration With Topshop:
After designing a dress she wore while shooting a holiday ad for Topshop, the company asked the actress to design her very own collection! “These are pieces that you don’t want to get rid of, that don’t feel like, ‘Oh, that was this season,’ ” she says. “They’re things you would want in your wardrobe for years and years to come.”
