The Jo Bros’ tour has officially been canceled, HollywoodLife.com has confirmed. Kevin, Nick and Joe need to resolve issues, a source has revealed. Read on for all the details!
Jonas Brothers fans are going crazy! On Oct. 9, a report surfaced that the band, which the three brothers formed in 2005, is canceling their tour! Now their spokesperson, Jesse Derris, has confirmed to HollywoodLife.com that the rumor is true. We know what really went down behind the scenes.
The Jonas Brothers Cancel Tour
“They just canceled the tour, after a successful summer tour,” a source close to the band told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “They had to resolve their issues about the music and direction of the band. I’s not a personal fight, it’s about the music. They are brothers, they love each other. Yes, they are still speaking.”
We sure hope this is true! It was a shock when Philadelphia radio station Q102 broke the news that Kevin Jonas, 25, Joe Jonas, 24, and Nick Jonas, 21, were canceling their 19-date tour of the US and Canada that was scheduled to kick off on Oct. 11, allegedly after a huge fight.
Then came more bad news — “There is a deep rift within the band,” Jessie told People mag. “There was a big a disagreement over their music direction.”
Fans Shouldn’t Worry — ‘They Are Not Going To Break Up’
It caused quite the uproar from fans on Twitter, who didn’t want to believe it.
“Fans can get a refund at their point of sale,” the brothers’ spokesperson, Jesse told HollywoodLife.com, assuring those who purchased tickets for tour would be getting their money back.
While fans feared the worst — that the band was breaking up — a source close to the brothers insisted to HollywoodLife that the tour cancellation does not mean that the band is splitting.
“It really isn’t as bad as things sound. Now that they can make more decisions about their career, they are taking it super seriously because they want to be around 30 years from now,” explained the source. “So canceling a tour to get their sh-t together will pay off handsomely in their future. They are not going to break up.”
Additionally, the source added that this tour was all about new music, but “they need to get all the creative pieces figured out first.”
So, HollywoodLifers — are you shocked the Jonas Brothers have canceled their tour?
