Miley Cyrus Owns ‘Today’
Shield your eyes, Matt Lauer! Today may be a morning show, but that didn’t stop Miley from pushing the boundaries yet again. For the concert Miley rocked a white crop-top with extremely short white shorts — that definitely showed her butt cheeks! She accented the outfit with an edgy thick chain necklace.
Miley started her set with the song that put her new persona on the map — “We Can’t Stop.” With some twerking, her merry band of backup dancers, and those famous butt cheeks, Miley rocked out fiercely.
Though there weren’t any sexy bears or foam fingers involved this time around — they were replaced by dancing mushrooms, rainbows, and flowers — the concert was still wildly entertaining, and we’re sure it’ll have people talking for a long time.
Miley followed up the wild “We Can’t Stop” with an intense, strong performance of “Wrecking Ball.” Though she didn’t cry like in the video, you could feel her emotion and passion as she belted out the heartbreaking words. For all the criticism Miley gets for her racy persona, when she puts on performances like this, you can really appreciate her as just a musician. Her natural talent was so obvious during the rendition of “Wrecking Ball.”
Miley Cyrus Defies Sinead O’Connor
Apparently Sinead O’Connor’s many open letters haven’t had much of an impact on Miley. In her first letter, Sinead wrote at length that Miley has been oversexualizing herself and dulling her real talent — and she even went so far to say that Miley is letting the industry turn her into a “prostitute.”
Though considering how fiercely Miley fired back at Sinead — over and over again — it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that Miley didn’t heed any of her advice.
Miley’s definitely still just being Miley, and we still can’t get enough.
