The battle between Sinead and Miley rages on! After Sinead slammed the ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer in not one or two but THREE open letters, Miley fought back on Twitter — but apparently that wasn’t enough. Now she’s vowing to diss Sinead big time during her Oct. 5 ‘SNL’ appearance.
Miley Cyrus and Sinead O’Connor, 46, are in the middle of a major feud! Sinead’s letters to the 20-year-old singer were initially meant to give guidance, but Miley took offense, and then took to Twitter to call out Sinead’s battle with mental illness. Sinead has already threatened Miley with legal action, so we’re pretty sure she won’t be happy when she finds out that Miley is planning to pull off the ultimate diss during her SNL monologue. Read on for all the EXCLUSIVE details.
Sinead O’Connor & Miley Cyrus’ Feud To Continue On SNL — Ripping On Sinead
Miley’s plans for her SNL performance just keep getting crazier! Now she’s plotting to use the show to get back at Sinead once and for all, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“The current plan is for Miley to go after Sinead O’Connor during ‘Weekend Update’ or her monologue and she will most likely rip a picture of Sinead O’Conner on SNL,” the source reveals.
This is an obvious reference to Sinead’s own infamous SNL appearance in 1992, in which she ripped up a photo of Pope John Paul II in protest of sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church.
Sinead took this stunt very seriously, so we’re guessing she would be even more furious than she already is if Miley pokes fun at it. This could mean war!
Sinead O’ Connor Calls Miley Cyrus A ‘Danger To Women’
Shortly after Sinead penned her first open letter to Miley warning her against the dangers of exploiting her sexuality, Miley took to Twitter to compare Sinead to Amanda Bynes and post a 1992 photo of Sinead ripping up a picture of the Pope on Saturday Night Live, with the caption “#SNL”. Is that when Miley got the idea to rip up a photo of Sinead on SNL!?
Sinead, who attempted suicide in 1999 and was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2003, fired back at Miley’s tweets about her mental illness in a second open letter on Oct. 4, saying:
Miley… Really? Who the f**k is advising you? Because taking me on is even more f**kin’ stupid than behaving like a prostitute and calling it feminism. You have posted today tweets of mine which are two years old, which were posted by me when I was unwell and seeking help so as to make them look like they are recent. In doing so, you mock myself and Amanda Bynes for having suffered with mental health issues and for having sought help.
I mean really, really… who advises you? Have you any idea how stupid and dangerous it is to mock people for suffering illness? You will yourself one day suffer such illness, that is without doubt. The course you have set yourself upon can only end in that, trust me.
I am staggered that any 20 year old woman of the 21st century could behave in such a dangerous and irresponsible manner, as to not only send the signal to young women that its ok to act like prostitutes, but also to the signal that those who have suffered or do suffer mental health problems are to be mocked and have their opinions invalidated. Have you no sense of danger at all? Or responsibility? Remove your tweets immediately or you will hear from my lawyers. I am certain you will be hearing from all manner of mental health advocacy groups also. It is not acceptable to mock any person for having suffered.
It is most unbecoming of you to respond in such a fashion to someone who expressed care for you. And worse that you are such an anti-female tool of the anti-female music industry. I hope that you will apologise to Amanda Bynes and to any person who has been wounded by your mockery of those who have suffered. And I hope that you will wake up and understand that you in fact are a danger to women.
Furthermore you posted a photo of me tearing the pope’s photo …as if to imply insanity… by doing so all you have achieved is to expose your staggering ignorance. I suggest you read The Philadelphia Report, The Boston Report, all the reports which will illuminate for you why that action of mine remains sane and valid. By mocking it you mock every child who suffered sexual abuse at the hands of priests and had it covered by the Vatican. You could really do with educating yourself, that is if you’re not too busy getting your t**s out to read.
Miley then tweeted this response on Oct. 4:
Sinead. I don’t have time to write you an open letter cause Im hosting & performing on SNL this week.

So if youd like to meet up and talk lemme know in your next letter. :)

Sinead didn’t stay silent for long, and promptly replied with a third open letter, also on Oct. 4. Miley hasn’t replied yet but she could be saving that for Saturday!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Miley diss Sinead on SNL or would that be crossing the line? Sound off!
