Kerry, Halloween isn’t here just yet! While the star is known for taking risks on the red carpet, did this one pay off or did she totally miss the mark? VOTE.
Kerry Washington has always been on our fashion radar, but she raised eyebrows at her arrival at Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC on Oct. 2 for the premiere of her hit show, Scandal. The star rocked an interesting, plaid blue gown that turned heads on the carpet. Although you may love or loathe this look, you have to give Kerry some credit for taking a chance — even if it did seem like she drew inspiration from Laura Ingalls Wilder and the Little House on the Prairie.
Kerry Washington’s Scandal Premiere Dress:
The Scandal front-woman, who is known for bringing out classy looks on the carpet, gave us another unforgettable look. Kerry rocked a blue floor length, plaid Prada dress and paired it with a Stella McCartney belt to fit her petite frame. The dress featured a blue and black checkered print, a collar, and a frilly front. The beauty finished off her look with a pair of white, pointed-toe pumps and light makeup. Her beautiful black tresses were pinned up, showing off her flawless face.
The 36-year-old actress was joined by co-star Scott Foley and series creator Shonda Rhimes. The premiere also celebrated Scandal‘s new partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue, which is taking place in-store, online, and on-screen to celebrate the classy and sultry style standard of the political drama.
While some may say that this look is great, I would have to disagree. This ensemble does nothing for her figure and I would have to say is reminiscent of Laura Ingalls Wilder! Forget Washington, it looks like she came straight from the farm! It’s so busy and it looks more like a costume than a chic red carpet get-up. It breaks my heart to say this because we are usually are in love with her looks, but Kerry definitely dropped the ball this time.
What do you think? Are you feeling this dress or do you agree with my dislike for this ensemble? Check it out and vote below!
