A female suspect is now reportedly dead, after leading police in a car chase, and crashing outside the Capitol building.
It was a scary day in Washington, D.C. On Oct. 3, Capitol Hill issued a Shelter In Place after shots were fired nearby. It has now been revealed that the suspect was a woman who hit her black Lexus into a gate at the White House, and then sped off in direction of the U.S. Capitol.
Female Suspect Reportedly Dead After Capitol Hill Shooting
All shots fired were by police, CNN is now reporting. The woman and possibly another adult and child in the car, raced off toward the Capitol, followed by 10-15 police cars.
Police could not get the woman to stop the car, so were forced to fire shots. The car then crashed into one of the police cars.
One officer was reportedly lifted out of his car by the jaws of life, but his condition is not yet known. The female suspect is allegedly dead.
