Maria Bartiromo: Witness In Shocking Citigroup Exec’s Divorce — Report
Todd, the former CFO of Citigroup’s global wealth management division, has a lot to deal with in the coming months. As he’s smack dab in the middle of his nasty divorce trial with Melissa — with whom he has three children — his alleged mistress, Maria, 46, is about to get served.
According to the Post, the Connecticut court has granted Melissa permission to depose Maria due to “certain facts which are in issue, or which directly assist in proving the Plaintiff’s [Melissa’s] case, are within the knowledge or power of [Bartiromo].”
Maria is married to Jonathan Steinberg, the CEO of WisdomTree Investments. They married in 1999.
Maria has yet to be served and is allegedly unaware of Todd’s divorce details, sources close to Maria tell the Post. Melissa and Todd’s reason for divorce was because their relationship had “broken down irretrievably.”
Maria Bartiromo & Todd Thomson’s Alleged Romantic Past
Maria and Todd reportedly had a fling after she accompanied him on a work trip in 2007. The two allegedly flew back with alone on Citi Bank’s jet. This scandal happened right before his termination from Citi. Todd is currently the founder and CEO of Headwaters Capital, a Manhattan-based private equity firm.
Back in 2007, Todd denied their affair and said that their relationship was “appropriate.”
If Maria does end up being served, it will be interesting to hear the truth about her relationship with Todd.
