Briana Cuoco went from big sister Kaley’s personal assistant to round two of ‘The Voice’ last night after singing a show-stopping rendition of ‘You and I’ that brought her sister to tears!
Briana Cuoco Steps Out From Kaley Cuoco’s Shadow
Briana currently works as a personal assistant to her celebrity sister, Kaley Cuoco, but says she ready to embrace some of her own success. Singing Lady Gaga’s “You and I,” she earned a button push from both Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green! Turning only two of four chairs, she wasn’t quite everyone’s cup of tea, but it was her power and raw talent that moved Christina.
“She kept my attention, which is important in the blinds,”Christina said.
Let’s hope she can hold her own during the battle rounds as she’ll duke it out as a member of Team Christina.
Timyra-Joi: Girl on Fire
Timyra-Joi, 15, blew Christina, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo away with her rendition of Alicia Keys‘ “Girl on Fire,” and they all turned their chairs around for her. She really was on fire!
Coming from a small family that faced financial strife, and helped along by a very generous vocal coach, Timyra is ready to embrace her talent.
“I’m looking to find who I am as an artist,” she said. “When I get on stage, hopefully this will be just the beginning.”
She’s off to a great start as a new member of Team Christina, who tweeted:
This girl IS on fire! #TimyraJoi may be small but her voice is HUGE!

Justin Blake, 20, took a big risk and sang Blake Shelton’s “Sure Be Cool If You Did.” With big risks come big rewards, and with his risk, he snagged a spot on Team Adam — but not after a little banter between judges.
“That takes nerve to come out and sing one of my songs,” Blake said, to which Adam Levine turned with a smirk and revealed, “See, I didn’t know that was one of your songs.”
As we all know, the budding bromance between Blake and Adam is too cute, and we’re glad they can take each other’s low blows. Blake later tweeted:
It’d sure be cool if…ya’ll brushed up on my discography. I know every word to “Cellphone” or whatever it’s called @adamlevine
— Blake Shelton (@blakeshelton) October 1, 2013
And Adam responded:
@blakeshelton you just sit at home and laugh at your own tweets, don’t you?

Blake Shelton Wins Over Monika Leigh
But the banter didn’t stop there! This season, Blake has loved shoving his three consecutive season wins in the returning coaches’ faces. And this evening was no different.
Blake brought along all three of his Voice champion trophies in their platinum silver glory — and with them, he won over 28-year-old Monika Leigh.
Singing B.B. King‘s “The Thrill is Gone,” Monika got a button push from Adam, Cee Lo and Blake.
“The technique elements are there,” Blake said. “It’s the same thing that would make me want to turn up the sound on my stereo, there’s just something there.”
But she wasn’t sure she was country enough for Blake, so he brought out the big guns and said, “I can give you three reasons to choose me,” as he pulled each of his trophies up onto his chair. And that was that; Monika is now a proud, non-country member of Team Blake.!
