‘Revenge’ is back and better than ever! Find out what’s coming up on season three.
A new season of Revenge brought a new face to the Hamptons on Sept. 29: Justin Hartley as Patrick, the long-lost son of Victoria (Madeleine Stowe). And while fans are always happy to have a new man to ogle on their favorite ABC sudser, doesn’t it seem like Patrick’s got something up his sleeve? I mean, this is Revenge, after all.
HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine chatted with new showrunner Sunil Nayar about Revenge‘s latest addition, what’s being planned for Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) and what we can expect from the third season in general.
Patrick & Charlotte: Sinister Siblings?
For starters, don’t expect Patrick to become too chummy with his half-sister Charlotte (Christa B. Allen).
“He was prepared to meet Charlotte, but certainly not under the circumstances that he did,” Sunil explains. “We see Charlotte taking a step towards becoming Victoria in the way that she treats him.”
Patrick & Victoria: Mommy Issues
On the flip side, Sunil says we should definitely expect Patrick to become closer with his mother. Maybe even too close.
“It’s a little bit dark and wonderful,” Sunil says of Patrick and Victoria’s relationship. “What we’re seeing is that there is an intimacy and almost an openness Victoria has with Patrick that we’ve never seen her have with anybody, especially not with her [other] children. Her life is so fraught with the history that she shares with these people. With Patrick, there’s almost a clean slate.”
Wedding Bell Bullets
As for the premiere’s insane opening scene, which found Emily being shot on her wedding day, Sunil says we’ll be getting answers sooner, rather than later.
“That’s our big December cliffhanger,” Sunil says. “You may get a little bit of information beyond the shooting.”
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Patrick? Do you trust him? And what do you think goes down on Emily’s wedding day? Drop a comment with your review of the premiere!
