Miley Cyrus — There’s nothing like using humor in response to a wild new rumor about you. That would be the report on CreamBMP.com claiming that you allegedly announced that you are pregnant at the BET Hip Hop Awards, during the show’s taping on Sept. 29.
Juicy J allegedly told the audience: “I can assure you that she’s been doing a lot more than twerking.” After which, you supposedly blurted out that you were pregnant.
Finally, the site claims that your dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, also got on stage and proclaimed that you “really broke my achy breaky heart.” Whew!
Well Miley — if you are by chance pregnant — what a way to announce it. The twitterverse has gone wild over the report.
But if you’re not, you responded perfectly to the allegation, taking to twitter to say:
waking up to the news that I’m now pregnant with @therealjuicyj baby
— Miley Ray Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) September 30, 2013
Then you responded to a friend who asked what you planned to name your alleged baby:
Me: “did you know I’m pregnant with @therealjuicyj baby this morning” @CheyneThomas : “what are you gonna name it?” Me: “Juicy J Jr DUH”

Well done, Miley. Humor is a far more effective response to a far out rumor, than anything else. Hey, even if by chance, you are pregnant and didn’t want to break the news until Oct 15, when the “BET Hip Hop Awards” air, then humor is still the best way to keep the lid on the pregnancy.
In the meantime, you have to appreciate the enormous uptick in the amount of attention and sales that the song you recorded with Juicy J — “23” — will get. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that your much anticipated album, Bangerz, is set to debut on Oct 8. The pregnancy report keeps you front and center in the news.
Miley — you’ve really become a marketing genius in the run-up to Bangerz launch. Your twerking performance at the VMAs stole the show, riding naked on a wrecking ball helped promote your #1 single, “Wrecking Ball,” and now you’re dealing with a pregnancy report that you haven’t flatly denied.
Miley, you didn’t start the rumor, but you haven’t exactly flattened it with a wrecking ball either.
The pregnancy report will also give you some mighty fine fodder for your “Saturday Night Live” guest hosting and performance gig on Oct 5 — we can’t wait!
In the meantime, handling the pregnancy rumor with humor and restraint, is absolutely the right way to go.
Do you agree Hollywoodlifers? Let me know!
