Lamar is furious that his private struggles will be aired in season nine of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ and he wants ‘no part’ of the on-screen drama.
Lamar Odom is a “shy” man and he can’t believe that his wife, Khloe Kardashian, and her family are planning to talk about the couple’s martial problems — and possibly even his alleged drug addiction — on the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, a source tells HollywoodLife.com. Lamar Odom: ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Filming His Troubles — LO’s Upset
Lamar, 33, has been trying to keep a low profile ever since his DUI arrest and alleged crack cocaine addiction made headlines. But now it turns out the producers of his wife’s hit reality television show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, are moving full steam ahead with their plans to address Lamar’s issues in the upcoming season.
“It’s evil, it’s horrible,” a source connected to the one-time Sixth Man of the Year tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He doesn’t want to be part of that. Some things should really just be left private.”
Our source explains that Lamar is an incredibly “shy” man and, like most people dealing with an addiction, he would rather handle the ordeal privately, rather than have his life blasted on cable television.
“That’s a private issue,” the source says. “How’s Lamar suppose to feel better, you know, get his life together, when all this sh** is being broadcast on television?”
Poor Lamar! He’s obviously going through a lot and this is the last thing he should have to worry about right now.
Khloe Kardashian: Her Plan To Protect Lamar Odom
There’s good news though — while Lamar’s marriage to Khloe will be discussed on the show, a source close to Khloe tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that all references to Lamar’s drug use are off the table.
“Yes, of course their relationship will have to be addressed on the show in some way, but there are no plans to mention drugs or get into deep details,” the source says. “She is not exposing Lamar in any way. She is actually protecting him as much as possible.”
It’s understandable that the showrunners wouldn’t want to gloss over Lamar’s issues, but we’re so glad to hear that Khloe is trying to protect Lamar at the same time. And really, would we expect any less from her?
Now it’s your turn to sound off, HollywoodLifers. Do you think Lamar’s issues should be filmed on television? Let us know.
