Watch the brand-new ‘South Park’ title sequence, then weigh in: Was this a necessary makeover, or are you just plain over it?

Since it began in 1997, South Park has made a name for itself by constantly shocking its viewers, but the Sept. 25 season premiere shocked us for a very different reason: Season 15 kicked off with a brand-new title sequence! The song is the same, and the general motif hasn’t changed — it’s still a jaunty ride through the show’s titular town, featuring its colorful cast of characters — but this time around, it’s in 3-D! That might seem like no biggie to casual viewers, but for true South Park fans, this was a “dear diary” moment.

I am NOT okay with this animation change. It’s not even South Park anymore. Sad to see a once good show die like this
