‘House Of Versace’ Trailer — WATCH:
Actors Gina Gershon, Raquel Welch, Enrico Colantoni, and Colm Feoree all star in the Lifetime original movie that premieres on Oct. 5th! Following the premiere, Lifetime will air the one hour documentary, Versace: Beyond The Headlines, that gives a detailed look of Gianni Versace’s journey in the fashion business.
From Gina To Donatella:
The film plans on revealing all the details of the tragic death of Versace creator, Giavanni Versace, all while 51-year-old starlet, Gina Gershon, transitions into the role of Donatella. It is reported that she spent many hours in the makeup chair — which included crafting Donatella’s signature blonde hair and her pouty lips, (which were created by stuffing cotton under her upper lip). Although makeup artist Kathy Kelso did not use prosthetics, she did use techniques, like highlighting and shadowing, to make her nose structure look like Donatella’s. Gershon also explained how she wanted to be as truthful as possible to Donatella’s physical transition throughout the years.
Even with Gianni Versace’s passing, the multi-million dollar fashion empire has continued to thrive while having an important influence in the industry. Make sure to tune into Lifetime Oct. 5th at 8PM, followed by the documentary at 10PM. Who’s excited? We definitely are!
We think Gina’s performance is dramatic and over-the-top — it’s signature Donatella! Although we’ve only seen the trailer we’re already impressed with her depiction of the fashion icon. Do you agree?
