The ‘Glee’ actress always keeps a little piece of him with her as she was seen wearing a “Cory” necklace around her neck.
Lea Michele kept her head held high and a smile on her face as she exited a hair salon in West Hollywood, California on Sept. 19 wearing her Cory Monteith necklace. It looks like the 27-year-old is trying to move past this difficult time and is focusing on both work and being with her friends and family. Our heart goes out to her but we think it’s so sweet that she keeps Cory so close to her heart.
Lea Michele’s Cory Necklace:
Lea is keeping his memory alive with her necklace — Cory will always be in our memories, and it seems Lea feels the same way. Not only is she participating in a Glee tribute but she’s wearing a “Cory” necklace that is close to her heart. As Lea tries to tackle the years to come without her former boyfriend and Glee costar it seems like she will always have a small piece of Cory to keep with her.
The couple met on the set of Glee and instantly had chemistry on-screen, which they eventually took off-screen as well. Cory, 31, was confirmed to be dating Lea, 27, in February 2012 — though speculations about a relationship arose sooner. A little over a year later, in July 2013, tragedy struck, and it was confirmed that Cory died from a drug overdose in Vancouver, Canada.
We can’t help but shed tears and give our condolences for not only Cory’s family, but Lea as well. Their love seemed so genuine and full of happiness — which is hard to come by in Hollywood.
Lea now steps out, going about her daily life and trying to get back to a ‘normal’ routine. The singer/actress was seen at the hair salon with her ‘Cory’ necklace, and though it still is a painful reminder of the tragedy, it makes us smile knowing that Lea is keeping her love close to her heart.
