So horrible! Two young girls, ages, 15 and 5, were sent to the store for takeout in Brooklyn on Sept. 18, and when they returned home, they found their mom shot to death.

Alyssa and Kadija were reportedly given $8 by their mom’s former boyfriend 40-year-old Eric McCormick — Alyssa’s dad — in order to pick up some food at the fried chicken restaurant near their home. When they returned home, they found their mom shot, unresponsive, and covered in blood. The dad is the suspect in this horrifying case and police are searching for him.

Brooklyn Shooting: Two Girls Find Mom Shot Dead In Brooklyn Home, Dad Suspected Shooter

Sellis Gonzales, 46, was found by her two young daughters, shot dead in her Brooklyn home.

Her 15-year-old daughter Khadija, reportedly called her grandmother in North Carolina to tell her what she found: “My mother is on the floor covered in blood,” she said on the phone, reports New York Daily News.

Their mother was shot a total of six times, getting three bullets to the head and three to the midsection, police sources said.

Victim’s Family Speaks Out After Shooting

The victim’s own mother, Ursula Gonzales, had no doubt that the ex-boyfriend was the shooter, but police are still searching for the man.

“We know it was him,” she said to the NY Daily News. “This was not the first time he hurt her. He’s a control freak. He’s controlling and abusive.”

The girls are in the care of their grandmother following the incident.

Police revealed that they had responded to a domestic violence call involving the couple in 2008. The victim had previously taken out a restraining order against her boyfriend, but it had expired.
