It looks like it’s another battle for Drake and Chris Brown! It’s no secret that the two aren’t exactly friends, and now they will go head to head for both Song of the Year and Video of the Year at this year’s Soul Train Awards.
Drake V. Chris Brown: Who Will Win At Soul Train Awards?
The nominees are in — but will they start a war? For Song of the Year, Chris’ “Fine China” is up for the honor as well as “Poetic Justice,” by Kendrick Lamar feat. Drake.
And that’s not all — for Video of the Year, Chris is again nominated for “Fine China,” while Drake is up for “Started from the Bottom.”
After their huge nightclub fight, where Drake’s team of bodyguards allegedly attached Chris at W.I.P., they surely don’t need yet another reason to battle.
Drake & Chris’ Ongoing Disses
If Drake and Rihanna’s relationship isn’t enough, Chris and Drake can’t seem to stop dissing each other separately.
On Drake’s song “Wu-Tang Forever,” which dropped Sept. 12, he raps a completely obvious dig at Chris, referencing their club brawl:
I just like the rush when you see your enemy somewhere in the club
And you realize he just not in a position to reciprocate your energy
You ain’t ever worried cause he’s not who he pretends to be
Chris hasn’t been silent on the dissing side either — on Aug. 21, he tweeted “Girls Love Rihanna.” Do we think it’s coincidence that Drake’s song is called, “Girls Love Beyonce?” That’s not likely.
So, HollywoodLifers — who do you think has a better chance of winning? Drake or Chris? Let us know! The show will take place on Nov. 8, then watch the awards at Dec. 1!
