Is Jaden jaded? (Sorry, I had to.) In a new series of tweets, Will Smith’s son shared that he doesn’t think schooling is exactly necessary — and actually admits he thinks dropping out is a good thing.

At 15, Jaden Smith sure has a lot to say about schooling! The Karate Kid actor tweeted for two days in a row about education, and how people would be “much more intelligent” if they just dropped out!

Jaden Smith Encourages Dropping Out Of School

“School Is The Tool To Brainwash The Youth,” Jaden tweeted out to his 4.5 million followers on Sept. 12. While we thought that was a little off — it was just the beginning.

That same day he added, “Education Is Rebellion,” and “If Newborn Babies Could Speak They Would Be The Most Intelligent Beings On Planet Earth.”

Well, tell us how you really feel, Jaden!

Jaden Was Brought Up In Non-Traditional Ways

It seems that he has something against the schooling system in general. “If Everybody In The World Dropped Out Of School We Would Have A Much More Intelligent Society,” he added on Sept. 13.

While he and little sister Willow Smith currently are homeschooled, they actually used to attend the New Village Leadership Academy, founded by parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith. The private school taught nontraditional methods of education like study-tech, which is used in scientology. However, after a lack of funding, it was shut down in June 2013.

Now, he and 12-year-old Willow are homeschooled.

Will and Jada alike have commented that they don’t raise their children the way many others do.

“We respect our children the way we would respect any other person,” Will told Haute Living magazine in May. “Things like cleaning up their room. You would never tell a full-grown adult to clean their room, so we don’t tell our kids to clean their rooms.”

What do you think, HollywoodLifers — is Jaden’s twitter rant understandable or setting a bad example for kids who are a fan of his?

go to school kids, you do learn things that you will keep the rest of your life, you will learn how to be around other people and society, and many other things. I don’t like the way school is processed myself and sometimes I wish I had a choice over what I learned but in the end you cant have a job without a diploma or GED or one of those papers that gives you permission if you are a minor. School is a good thing and sometimes it is the only time some kids get away from their homes that might not be so glamorous.. Just because you don’t go to school doesn’t mean it everyone else should not go either. Please don’t tell them all to jump off bridges.. and hopefully the kids are smart enough to not listen to things that don’t make sense.

Maybe the kid has a point about the institution which governs school …after all these days they don’t even teach kids how to write in cursive …what a waist ..also ask yourself if Mark Wahlberg just got his Diploma how did he make and star in some great movies with little education. the answer is simply and clear. Hard work and dedication pays the bills … not always education. IMO

These comments are the perfect argument for education! They also reflect the self centered, self absorbed, spoiled child beliefs of a kid who is the result of his parents money and influence.Since when do adulys give any merit or time to the foolish comments of a teenager whoknows nothing. Put him oin the same category as the idiot Kardashions. Hollywood brats.

I think he is right to some extent..Its not that school is not important..but It becomes unimportant at a certain stage… The aim should be to work towards achieving your dreams…..You might be surprised that many people DONT KNOW WHY THEY ARE GOING TO SCHOOL.Moreso most top Billionaires are dropouts.

To put it simply, not all of us have a paved road ahead of us.Some of us actually have to work for what we have. I don’t want to spend my life asking if you want onion rings with that. The economy is already horrible it is not easy to find a job, even for those who are both highschool and college graduates, so not going to school would be like shooting yourself in the foot. ( Even if you cannot afford to go to college there are scholarship opprotunites available if you put in effort in highschool) Not only does going to high school and college benifit you but it is part of forming a educated and productive society. Allthough he is part of the one percent so I don’t expect him to understand.

The important thing about this story is Jaden doesn’t attend a normal school – he attended a Scientology school where they really do brainwash you because they are a cult. So he’s right, but not for why you think – he’s never actually gone to a normal American non-cult-run school.

Yeah, watch the first 6 minutes of After Earth and listen to Jaden stumble through the English language and it’s painfully apparent he’s in dyer need of more schooling/education.

Everyone does not have rich parents and an easy road ahead of them. We need education, skills to get that job to live. Jaden’s mind set shows us all that education and schools are necessary. Rich kids live in different worlds and have different outlooks on life. He sounds uneducated. This is a strange family from what they have shown us.

Could have given better choices to vote fools. First of all, his parents HAD A SCHOOL, but I guess nobody would fund it. WONDER WHY! Second………..NOT EVERYBODY HAS MILLIONAIRES FOR PARENTS! What a waste of a kid. Were the hell are his parent? First….he wanted to move out, now this. This kid is a friggin mess. His sister singing about broken heart. PLEASE! THEY ARE KIDS! This is the weirdest family. I NEVER THOUGHT WILL WOULD BRING UP AN African American child like that. This is a tough world and he should know AAM NEED AN EDUCATION! SAD! He shoud be PROMOTING EDUCATION! I’m white, but a black man in this world STILL have problems. SAD,BUT TRUE! The President and the first lady, are ALWAYS trying for education. Don’t let me see this family at political events, because then I’ll know they are PHONIES! I would NEVER support ANYTING THEY DO AGAIN! Too bad, because I remember the “CHILD” going on a show promoting water for people. Now………..I DO NOT TRUST ANY OF THEM!

You mean your mama and daddy, who founded your private school, let it close due to lack of funds? Really? So now you’re too smart for school because the cult your family is in,(aka scientology)has taught you all you need to know and you’re all grown up?

You’d never tell an adult to clean up their rooms, so we don’t tell our children to clean up their rooms? What a uninformed parent, the only way to achieve a responsible adult to clean their room IS to teach the child responsibility of doing it themselves. What a clueless mush mouthed, uninvolved parent! Too true “Meh”, what a bowl of turds!

On weekdays my husband and I work a 9 to 5 job. My only child is remarkable. He dropped out of school in the 9th grade and 5 years later he is now a chairman of a multimillion dollar Company. My husband and i choose to work … FREE i may add. He proved us wrong. We begged him not to drop out, but he is so strong minded. I knew at that moment he was something really special, and this does not mean that any of you are not capable of committing yourselves to be something really special. I am not recommending the youth to dropout, but i am saying whatever choice your child makes please support them 100%. Interesting topic.
