The ‘Teen Mom 3′ girls realize that they can’t get back their pre-baby teenage years now that they’re raising kids. Find out what went down on the Sept. 16 episode.
Katie Yeager wants her body confidence back. Mackenzie Douthit wants her guy to stay away from dangerous bull-riding now that he has a son to look out for. Alex Sekella wants to rid herself of her daughter’s father — not be tied to him for 18 years. And Briana DeJesus just wants to be a normal teenager. See how they fared in the latest episode.
Katie Yeager Struts Her Stuff In A Lingerie Fashion Show
Katie’s friend asks her to take part in a bridal and lingerie photo shoot and fashion show, but she is not feeling confident in her post-baby body. She starts taking Zumba classes to get herself into shape, panicking about her belly. When she talks to Joey about it, he is not very supportive of it because he doesn’t like the idea of her showing off her body for everybody but him. Katie explains that the shoot would make her feel confident again, but Joey said he doesn’t support that kind of confidence if that’s the way she has to gain it.
“I just need to feel sexy again,” Katie says as she slips into a corset for the photo shoot. Joey cheers Katie on as she walks in her fashion show, but leaves when he sees Katie in her lingerie getup. When they talk about why he left, Joey doesn’t understand where she got her hangups that she’s not pretty enough.
Briana DeJesus Feels Like A Burden On Her Mom & Sister At Home
Briana notices how much freedom her sister has compared to her. She has found that raising a baby is a full-time job. Her sister Brittany had an abortion but when she sees Briana and her daughter Nova, she rethinks her life. Both girls feel like they made the right decision for themselves — but they know they’re not just normal teenagers anymore. Brittany goes off on a week-long trip on her own, and Briana realizes just how much she was relying on her older sister’s help and guidance. She also feels jealous and left out that her sister and friends are off having fun while she takes care of Nova alone.
Briana breaks down crying when she feels that she’s a burden on her family, who take care of her and the baby, constantly motivating and supporting her. Briana’s mom assures her that she’s not a burden, and Nova has three great women to look up to.
Mackenzie Douthit & Josh McKee Introduce Gannon To The Rodeo Life
Mackenzie and Josh take their son Gannon to his first rodeo. Mackenzie sees how difficult it is for Josh to sit on the sidelines of the rodeo, after he was forced to give up his passion after sustaining several injuries. Josh talks to his friends about recovering from his injury and getting back to riding, but he knows he needs Mackenzie’s support before he gets serious about any of it.
Mackenzie tells her friends that it’s different to see the father of her son doing dangerous stuff like bull-riding than when he was just her hot boyfriend, but she realizes that Josh’s love for riding is exactly the same as her love for cheerleading, which she did not have to give up forever. She decides to support Josh in his rodeoing — and won’t let her family tell her otherwise.
Alex Sekella Seeks Counseling To Sort Out Her Anger About Matt McCann
After Alex’s mom kicked Matt out of the house, her mom explains that she needs therapy to deal with her emotions and anger towards Matt. Now that they have baby Arabella together, Matt and Alex have to keep their relationship civil. When Alex sees her counselor, she talks out how Matt’s constant drama affects her. While Alex wants Matt to change, her counselor reminds her that she has no control over Matt’s actions, and she can only change her own.
Alex’s little brother and sister step up to help out with Arabella so that Alex can focus on finishing school. She is lucky to have such a support system from these responsible young siblings. They are really wise beyond their years and absorb Alex’s issues to learn from them rather than repeat them.
When Alex meets up with Matt again, she tells him that she thinks he still has problems he needs to clear up before he tries to father Arabella again — and she won’t let him around their daughter until he clears up and is 100% drug-free.
