So sad. On Sept. 12, a fire ripped through the iconic boardwalk, which was still rebuilding after the devastation from Hurricane Sandy. As block after block of buildings and businesses went up in flames, stars from all over took to Twitter to send their thoughts and prayers.

The cast of The Jersey Shore, and countless other celebrities, watched in horror on Sept. 12 as Seaside Park and Seaside Heights were ravaged by a sudden fire. The blaze is the second disaster the small New Jersey community has had to face in less than a year after being nearly destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in Oct. 2012.

‘The Jersey Shore’ Cast Reacts To Fire In Seaside Heights

The stars of The Jersey Shore could hardly express their heartbreak. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi tweeted, “Rip seaside boardwalk. So many of our favorite places gone…my heart is with everyone affected. Xoxo Beachcomber.” DJ Pauly D wrote, “My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Seaside right now, it’s heartbreaking to see my second home go through another devastation.”

Deena Corteese tweeted, “To think beachcomber made it thru the hurricane n now is completely destroyed ..seaside was such a huge part of my life even when I was 5.”

Sam Giancola tweeted, “Just heard about seaside & my heart is breaking. Prayers to everyone! This is devastating seeing my other home go through this once again,” while Ronnie Magro wrote, “Prayers go out to the firefighters & all the first responders taking involved in the fire in #SeaSidePark.”

Other celebrities were just as devastated. Director Kevin Smith tweeted, “I LOVE YOU, SEASIDE PARK/HEIGHTS! Heart’s breaking for the boardwalk: first flood, now a fire.”

Anderson Cooper tweeted, “So sad. Seaside Heights’ boardwalk just reopened after hurricane Sandy.”

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo posted, “The fire that is happening in Seaside NJ right now is heartbreaking.”

Bethenny Frankel wrote, “watching this terrible fire rage along the boardwalk…a community was rebuilding, and now destroyed again. my heart breaks for seaside park.”

Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle actor Kal Penn tweeted, “This fire in Seaside Park is heartbreaking,” and surfer Rob Kelly wrote, “Can’t believe what’s happening in Seaside Heights right now. That town can’t catch a break. #prayforseaside.”

This fire really is so tragic. The Seaside community has been so strong withstanding Hurricane Sandy, to take another blow like this is so unfair and devastating. But they have shown such amazing courage before, they will continue to band together and recover. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was affected by this disaster.

As a resident of the seaside area I am positive that this fire is just a setback for us and that we will rebuild a newer stronger and more united shore community. #seaside heights #seaside park, #ortley beach #lavallette #LBI
