Dina, 50, was arrested and charged with a DWI on Sept. 13, after she was pulled over for speeding near her Long Island home. HollywoodLife.com also spoke with Dina’s ex-husband, Michael Lohan, who tells us what he thinks of the entire situation.
Dina Lohan is not setting a very good example for her daughter Lindsay Lohan. Dina, was reportedly driving in her white BMW, at speeds of 77 mph in a 55 mph zone, around 11 p.m. when police pulled her over. That’s when police discovered that her blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit!
Dina Lohan Arrested For Drunk Driving
Lindsay’s mom, Dina, clearly isn’t trying to be a role model for her daughter, who just got out of rehab for drug and alcohol abuse. Dina’s blood alcohol level was .20, that’s twice the legal limit of .08, according to ABC News.
When Dina talked to police after being arrested, she claimed that she was “injured” during the arrest, but later took it back. Dina was given two traffic tickets, one for the DWI, and one for speeding. Her court date has been set for Sept. 24.
HollywoodLife.com spoke with Dina’s ex-husband Michael Lohan, after the news broke, and he tells us:
“I feel sorry that she, and especially the kids have to deal with this,” he said. “I just hope it turns out to be a good thing for her.”
Lindsay Lohan On Oprah’s Next Chapter — I Grew Up In Chaos
We told you that Lindsay sat down with Oprah Winfrey on Aug. 19, to talk about her troubled life. She touched on everything from her childhood, stints in rehab and her drug use. But above all, she blamed a lot of it on her “chaotic” upbringing.
“I grew up in a very chaotic home and there were moments of everything being just wonderful and perfect and then things being so uncontrollable and chaotic,” she said. “It was at times the wonderful place [my mom] always wanted it to be, but other times it was like hell. A lot of stuff went on when I was young with my family.”
But she shockingly said that she doesn’t “blame” her parents for the mistakes that she has made.
“I hate the bad rap [my parents] get,” she said. “They’re just parents, at the end of the day. I don’t blame anyone for my mistakes. It’s something that people go through and unfortunately I waited too long to face it, even though I’ve been seeing a therapist for years and years.”
HollywoodLifers, do you think that Dina should be setting a better example for her children?
