The designer’s feminine spring collection featured easy looks, her signature accessories and even fresh flowers! We can’t wait to see the line on all of her celebrity fans.
Tory Burch‘s Spring 2014 collection had a very vintage vibe, sighting the French Rivera in the late 1960s and Romy Schneider‘s character in the film La Piscine as inspiration for the pretty looks that came down the blue runway at New York Fashion Week. We saw lovely lace and florals, botanical prints and of course, statement accessories. The collection was very feminine, perfectly polished and totally wearable. While it possessed Tory’s signature aesthetic I really liked the way her inspiration played out on the runway, making it one of her best spring collections to date.
Tory Burch Spring 2014 Collection:
Easy shirtdresses in feminine silhouettes featured pretty prints that would be perfect for photocalls and more casual engagements and I think Taylor Swift would be all about the looks, along with stylish young star Hailee Steinfeld. Printed shorts and matching, belted tanks would look adorable on the slew of stars who have embraced shorts on the red carpet and in their everyday life, like Nina Dobrev, Carrie Underwood, Selena Gomez and Julianne Hough.
While I think the runway looks would be great for so many stars, I also appreciate how easily Tory’s customer can incorporate the styles into their own lives. Whether it’s a dress they wear to work or smart separates that they show off on the weekend, the line was so pretty and oh-so-wearable.
Tory opted for a matchy-matchy approach when it came to accessorizing, pairing clothing with a floral pattern with bags that featured the same exact print while models rocked straight hair parted down the middle, which contributed to the 60s feel of the collection.
Emmy Rossum and Rashida Jones are two of the designer’s biggest celebrity fans so it came as no surprise to see them sitting pretty in the front row for the show — we could also definitely see a slew of the looks on both of them!
