The designer’s latest collection was full of vibrant colors and gorgeous dresses that were fit for the red carpet — and we’re sure the fashionable fist lady will love his latest line!
Naeem Khan was inspired by the Spanish Rose, Latin culture, and the romance and vibrant colors the culture embodies when crafting his Spring 2014 collection. Pretty prints, inspired by painted Mexican ceramics and tiles, were infused throughout the collection that was rich in gorgeous evening wear. The designer is well known on the red carpet and can also list the first lady herself, Michelle Obama, as a major fan and supporter of his gorgeous creations — and after seeing his latest collection at New York Fashion Week we think it’s only a matter of time before Michelle steps out in one of his stunning dresses!
Naeem Khan Spring 2014 Collection:
While the collection was cohesive, infused with rich prints, stylish separates and feminine silhouettes, it also possessed so much variety. A colorful sequin mini would be great on a stylish young star while his strapless dresses and ball gowns were better suited for a more mature actress who wants to make a major statement on the red carpet. The lavish lace and eye for detail that can be seen in the embroidery and beadwork of the pieces is what really set this collection apart.
The show opened with delicate lace dresses which gave way to flowing caftans and gowns made of tulle and organza with intricate beadwork and embroidery that floated down the runway, really paying homage to the beauty and elegance of the Latin culture. The designer closed the show with an embroidered wedding dress that really took everyone’s breath away when the model emerged holding a full bouquet of red roses in her hands.
