Lamar Odom In Out-Patient Rehab Program — Getting Help?
Lamar has allegedly been battling a drug addiction, but he’s checked himself into an out-patient program, according to RadarOnline.
Though it’s not all good news — Lamar has reportedly already missed a counseling session!
“Lamar had been scheduled to meet with a counsellor on Tuesday, but blew off the meeting,” a source told Radar. “Sadly, it doesn’t appear that Lamar is [100 percent] on track to getting healthy.”
Apparently Lamar chose an out-patient facility because he has “major trust issues and didn’t feel comfortable in a rehab setting,” according to the report.
Even though he allegedly blew off his first appointment, it’s still great that he reportedly checked himself in. Checking into a program is that first baby step, and actually attending a counseling session will be the next one.
Khloe Kardashian Trying Tough Love With Lamar Odom
As we’ve told you before, Khloe and Lamar have stopped all communication, however, Khloe tried her hardest for months to get Lamar to enter rehab. So, if he is going, is it because her previous words have finally convinced him? At this point, however, she’s been advised to back off from talking to Lamar.
“She is being instructed by an addiction and intervention expert to not try and persuade him to go to rehab because he will just shut down,” a source close to Khloe revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
We applaud Khloe for holding it together for this long and hope she continues to stay strong — and perhaps this no-contact tactic is actually starting to work.
Khloe also tweeted a sad message yesterday that appears to have been directed at Lamar.
On Sept. 11, Khloe tweeted: “I see the pain in your pride.” So sad.
