‘Jurassic World’: Fourth ‘Jurassic Park’ Set To Hit Theaters In 2015

It’s been 12 years since the last installment of ‘Jurassic Park’ hit theaters, and now the much-anticipated fourth movie, ‘Jurassic World’ has a release date — and we’re roaring with excitement.

Jurassic Park is about to rock your world — for the fourth time. On Sept. 11, Universal Pictures announced that the next part of the dinosaur franchise will hit theaters June 12, 2015.

‘Jurassic World’ To Be Released In 2015

It’s a good day for Jurassic Park fans. Colin Trevorrow will direct the fourth action-adventure — to be shot in 3-D — from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly.

The first three films brought in a whopping $1.9 billion, and the April 2013 re-release of the original Jurassic Park in 3-D, brought in $114 million!

So, the team involved is hoping that this installment will be just as action-packed as the past three. The original took home three Academy Awards, and the second, The Lost World, was nominated for one.

The announcement of the release date came on the same day as Disney studios confirmed that the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean would move to 2016, instead of summer 2015.

What Can We Expect From ‘Jurassic World’?

The plot of the new film has yet to be released, but we can say that people are talking . . . and are extremely excited.

Jurassic World? Sign me up. Obviously, I’ll be there,” Star Trek director J.J. Abrams told USA Today on September 10. “I don’t know what the story is but it sounds like fun.”

In April, USA Today also spoke with Jack Horner, the paleontologist who has worked on all four Jurassic Park films, who revealed that the next film will be a scary one!

Jurassic Park created the velociraptor,” said Horner, but wouldn’t reveal which dinosaur would take on the role as villain in Jurassic World. “I can’t actually tell you who that will be. But you’ll want to keep the lights on after you see this movie.”

We can’t wait! HollywoodLifers, are you excited for Jurassic World? Do you hope Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) will return? Let us know!
