Miley Cyrus tweets a possible ‘Wrecking Ball’ director’s cut release — but with a catch!
Miley, 20, is looking to her fans to reach video history in her newest tweet. Directed by the famed Terry Richardson, the video is already a YouTube sensation, but it might get even bigger than expected!
Miley Cyrus Promises ‘Wrecking Ball’ Director’s Cut For 150 Million Views
Get ready, Smilers! Miley Cyrus ’ racy new video for “Wrecking Ball,” off her fourth studio album, Bangerz, hit 19.3 million views in a record 24 hours. Now with 40 million hits, the former Disney star is asking fans to hit the 150 million mark, promising the director’s cut video.
Miley tweeted, “Directors cut of Wrecking Ball coming when this hits 150 million!” followed by a link to the video.
And it looks like Smilers are up for the challenge. Following the tweet, Miley received over 4,300 retweets and 2,700 favorites.
It’s no surprise the Terry Richardson video has climbed its way to VEVO infamy — and it’s not exactly the lyrics that are causing such a commotion. Miley leaves little to the imagination in the sultry video as she belts out the pop ballad, draping her body over — what else — a wrecking ball. Are fans ready for an even sexier version?
Miley’s Generous Past With Fans
It’s not the first time Miley has asked fans for help. In July, Miley told fans to get the summer anthem “We Can’t Stop” to 100 million views. As a reward, Miley said she would give her fans a much raunchier director’s cut edition — and fans delivered. The “We Can’t Stop” director’s cut video made the original video look like playful a Disney Channel sitcom.
Let’s hope Miley’s loyal Smilers are able to get the sexy star back on top again.
