Did Miley’s twerking, gyrating, and overall raunchy behavior during her performance at the VMAs cost her a coveted cover spot of the most prestigious fashion magazine?
Miley Cyrus Loses ‘Vogue’ Cover Because Of VMA Performance
A new report claims that Miley did a photo shoot for Vogue that was meant to be the cover of their December 2013 issue. But those plans reportedly came to a screeching halt the second Miley took the stage at the VMAs in a skimpy teddy bear onesie, her tongue lashing back and forth seductively.
“Anna found the whole thing distasteful,” a source told Hollywood News Daily. “She decided, based on Miley’s performance, to take the cover in a different direction.”
Miley Cyrus Misses Out On ‘Vogue’
Landing on the cover of Vogue would have been huge for Miley. She would have joined the likes of grownup, groundbreaking stars like Beyonce, Jennifer Lawrence, and Katy Perry, and it would have been a very big step in Miley’s quest to assert herself as a grown woman no longer associated with Disney.
While one can argue that her VMA performance had already done that, making the cover of Vogue would have been a resoundingly positive thing for Miley, whereas her VMA twerk-a-thon has left people questioning whether or not they should support her.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Anna really decided to banish Miley from the Vogue cover? And if so, do you agree with the decision? Let us know!
