NASCAR Racer Jimmie Johnson and his wife Chandra Janway welcomed a baby girl in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sept. 6. The couple have one other daughter together, 3-year-old Genevieve.
Jimmie Johnson’s Baby Born — NASCAR Driver’s Wife Gives Birth To A Daughter
The proud dad welcomed his second little girl with his beautiful wife! The pair’s daughter was born at 2:02 a.m. local time in Charlotte, North Carolina and weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 19 inches long at birth, according to a statement on Jimmie’s website. The couple have not announced their second daughter’s name.
The couple’s adorable daughter “Evie” has made many appearances at the racetracks, so baby girl number two will likely be making her debut on the courses soon!
Jimmie Johnson Missing Richmond Practice Before Chase For Sprint Cup Playoff
Jimmie hoped to time his daughter’s birth so he wouldn’t have to miss a race, but babies wait for no one!
The hardcore racer He told USA TODAY Sports he hoped the baby would be a mid-week arrival, but that he was willing to miss his planned Richmond International Raceway activities if necessary. Jimmie’s daughter was actually due a week later, the opening weekend of the Chase for the Sprint Cup playoff, so her early arrival worked just fine for Jimmie, the five time champion!
Regan Smith will fill in for Jimmie in the interim, but Jimmie is expected to return for practice before the big race.
