With the tragic death of Cory Monteith, many were left wondering what direction ‘Glee’ would go in. Now, HollywoodLife.com is exclusively learning that Lea doesn’t want her character Rachel to have a new love interest anytime soon.
Lea Michele has continued to put on a brave face during the filming of Glee. While co-creating the episode that is paying tribute to Cory Monteith, Lea has also decided that her character Rachel will not be getting a new love interest in the near future, a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com.
Lea Michele: Rachel Berry Won’t Have New Relationship Yet
Glee will be returning to Fox on Sept. 26 and while the tribute episode is being planned, we’ve now learned that the show will pay the utmost respect to his character, just as they are to Cory himself.
That means that Rachel Berry will not be falling for a new college guy anytime soon.
“It is true that Lea doesn’t want to move fast into another relationship so quickly from the loss of Finn,” a source close to Lea revealed to us exclusively. “The show is going to take things naturally and make things as real as possible and have her deal with the loss and issues that come from it.”
Finchel ‘Will Not Be Forgotten’
This way, Finchel fans will not be disappointed, and Lea is making sure that the fans will always remember the love the couple had.
“Will there be love in the future? Most likely, but they are going to tread lightly and be respectful with the process as much as possible,” the source said. “Rachel, for the remainder of the show, is going to be a version of Lea that she wants to show to her fans. Cory and Finn will not be forgotten and that will be shown throughout the rest of the series.”
Lea and the cast are continuing to heal, and we’re looking forward to seeing where the show heads.
