How scary! A Texas high school went on lockdown on Sept. 4 following an early morning stabbing incident in the Houston school’s cafeteria. A 16-year-old is reported dead and multiple other students are reported injured following this terrible incident.
At least one student has been reported dead and up to 3 are injured after a Sept. 4 stabbing at Houston’s Spring High School. The school was put on lockdown shortly after 7 a.m. local time following this violence. 16-year-old Joshua Broussard was identified as the student killed in this awful incident.
Texas High School Stabbing — One Student Dead, Multiple Wounded
Two students were transported out of the school to the hospital in a Life Flight medical helicopter. One student, age 16, was listed in critical condition. KHOU also confirms a third victim.
A mother of a student who allegedly witnessed this horrible stabbing told KHOU about a terrifying phone call that she received from her daughter telling her “they’re in here stabbing people.”
“She said the young man just collapsed,” the mother said, reports NY Daily News. The student described the suspects as a group of five guys between 16 and 19 years of age and possibly part of a gang, reports the paper.
“The dad and aunt of 16-year-old Joshua Broussard confirmed to Local 2’s Robert Arnold that the sophomore was killed in the stabbing,” reports Local2.
Stabbing Suspects In Custody Following Texas High School Shooting
Male teenagers were in custody following the stabbing, and they exited the school in handcuffs. Sheriff Adrian Garcia said at a news conference that the three persons of interests in custody are believed to be the only persons of interest linked to the incident, reports Click2Houston.
The victims and suspects are all students at the school.
