‘America’s Got Talent’ Results: A Favorite Younger Act Gets The Boot

Wow. This week’s elimination was an emotional roller coaster for us. Even though we knew six acts were going to be eliminated, that didn’t soften the blow of some of our favorite acts going home. So, did your favorite(s) make the finals?

America’s Got Talent toyed with our feelings in the Sept. 4 eliminations. We’ve grown attached to some of these acts and seeing them on stage for the last time is almost too much to take. Fall Out Boy also performed their hit single “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up).”

‘America’s Got Talent’ Sept. 4 Results

American Military Spouses Choir, singer Branden James, and acrobat Timber Brown were the first acts up for elimination. It was no surprise that Branden moved on to the finals. Have you heard him sing? Yeah, there was no doubt about it.

Chicago Boyz and the Kristef Brothers were up next. If one of these two acts is eliminated then we’ll just quit everything. Thankfully, BOTH are in the finals. Whew, our emotions are still in check.

Country crooners Marty Brown and Jimmy Rose. Even though we have a soft spot for Marty, we ultimately knew it would be Jimmy who stayed in the competition.

Next up were Illusionist Leon Etienne & Romy Low, comedian John Wing, and Kenichi Ebina. This was just cruel to Leon & Romy and John. Kenichi was obviously going on to the finals.

This is where we get emotional. The final acts up for elimination are singing extraordinaire Anna Christine and dancers D’Angelo & Amanda. Seriously, they are just kids! Putting them against each other is just wrong. Nevertheless, it was up to the judges to decide. Heidi Klum went with D’Angelo & Amanda and Mel B went with Anna Christine. This is getting intense. Howard Stern goes with Anna Christine. Okay, we’re getting somewhere. Howie Mandel believes this is Sophie’s Choice of America’s Got Talent and he’s right. Yet, he doesn’t make it easier by choosing D’Angelo & Amanda.

So, it’s back to the votes and America chooses…

D’Angelo & Amanda! Poor Anna Christine. She was really coming into her own and to watch her go breaks our hearts.

So HollywoodLifers, how do YOU feel after tonight’s eliminations? Let us know!

If no one wants a singer to win and thinks only acts that don’t sing should participate then maybe they should have new rules for the show—make it completely a competition of non singing acts and that would separate them from the competition and make it easier for the public to choose a Vegas act. I think Anna did not win because (like me) everyone figured she was a shoo-in to win so cast their votes for other acts. She is very young also and has lots of years to start a career………..and maybe her voice will change later……..mine did from 11 years old to 20. Maybe there should be age limits as well?

There are soooo many shows for singer out there, and the only show wher D’Angelo and Amanda could compete besides this one was canceled, due to low raitings. Anna is talented, but this got her so much publicicity, she’ll bound to get picked up by a company. Dancers, there are no “companies” to pick them up, no singles to release, no anthems to sing. They can be in commericals, or on tv, thats it. AGT has had so many singers, it’s time for a change. Anna is talented, but I can’t wait to see her grow and pop up on a show like X Factor.

I will not watch again. The real show is the never-ending yammering of the judges. Heidi and howie ought to overhaul their obsolete intellectual equipment. Neither one can string a coherent sentence together. Stern seems disgusted with both.

The show is deceitful. It purports to be a talent show for undiscovered talent; however, Brandon, rose, kenichi are all professionals with jobs. Anna is the real thing. None of the singers have anywhere near the charisma and talent she has. Cami and Brandon are mediocre and very unoriginal.Anna’s voice is unlike any I have ever heard. She was the only bright star on that show
What a stupid move on their part. At least when she is a star, she won’t be shackled by the evil Simon Cowell Inc

It is astounding to me that. Anna was eliminated in favor of two acrobats. Who had already won Paula Abdul’s competition. What a huge mistake. I think the soap opera enacted by the judges is valued more than true talent. Shame on AGT for allowing this injustice. Anna was the only reason to endure the other nonsense.

Something tells me the judges intentionally split the decision down the middle because they didn’t have the heart to personally be responsible for sending one of the kid acts home. It just makes it even harder to bear. With America’s vote, it makes it clear on who gets through. Unfortunately this week was WAY too competitive. Had the Kristef Brothers not had that injury, Anna would have
gone through.

Anna Christine is the best singer from this entire season excluding the opera singers. She’s much better than the country singers and leagues better than that blonde stevie nicks wannabe lady, can’t remember her name. No comparison. That stevie nicks wannabe should never have gotten past the audition parking lot. Anna Christine should not have been eliminated. I think her parents probably got tired of all the perverts in Hollywood and wanted her off the show.

And for those who don’t know, Forte is a joke. The lead singer (nerdy looking chubby guy) has already won a Grammy a few years back, and is already a money making professional singer with tons of opportunities. Why is he even on AGT?

Let’s be serious. Anna is to shy and lacks the confidence to carry a show of her own. The possibility she could fill seats in Vegas is slim to none. She has an awkward stage presence and needs some time to hone her performance skills. Comparing her to Jackie is ridiculous. Anna should spend some time hanging out with the dancing boy’s kid sister, to learn how to play to an audience. Voting her off this week was a gift as it was inevitable.

Anna I hope you read these comments. You are an amazing singer and I truly hope you get a contract and produce a CD. I would buy it today. Howie and Heidi, what were you thinking? Beautifully song lyrics outshine dancers every time. Can’t belie you didn’t vote for Anna. Won’t even watch the finals now.

I am through with this stupid show! Give me a break! Brandon James? The dancers? Over this mega talented girl?? The judges have no brains! This. Show is such a messed up scam. It’s supposed to find NEW talent, not people like mediocre Brandon who sings professionally. Endless yammering on about Howard and howie. Who CARES? Anna is probably the most brilliant singer/talent they’ve ever had but they are too stupid to see it. I’m fed up with this show.

What’s most interesting about shows like IDOL and AGT is that the producers completely and absolutely understand that the delivery of the show is, and always be, more entertaining than any single act. The medium is more important than the message. The wonderfully dysfunctional chemistry between the four hosts is, and always will be, more entertaining than any of the contestants. And this year proved it, with many acts going to Vegas that did not deserve it (remember the guy whose belly became a musical instrument?) and many successful acts proving they were nothing but one-trick ponies. Kenichi deserves to move on. Those who voted for the Kristef Brothers need to cut back on the Doritos. Those who did NOT vote for Anna Christine after her re-imagining of WILD HORSES need to find their inner Simon Cowell before they completely lose touch with reality.

Singers keep winning AGT, 5 of the past 7 winners are all singers. Might as well change this shwo to American Idol. Why America keeps picking singers… beyond me.

Anne was the best vocally, but other acts including Kenichi and even Chicago Boyz are much more entertaining to watch in a Vegas show.

II am at a loss at trying to figure out what America was thinking when they voted for Jimmy Rose and the Kristef Brothers to go into the finals. Both performances did not match that of John Wing and Anna Christine. I am hoping that America will wise up before doing something stupid like voting for the Kristef Brothers over Forte.

I am so disappointed that my favorites ,Anna Christine and Timber Brown have been eliminated. Jimmy Rose,Branden James and the child dance team should never have been advanced. I,m now pulling for my other two choices Chicago boys and Kristoff brothers. now that’s entertainment.GOOD LUCK Anna!

All of the contestants have talent of some sort or they would ‘t neon the show. However, the judges have to recognize when someone is a super star in the making. How Heidi made the decision NOT to pick Anna Christine was a huge mistake. Howie’s decision didn’t surprise me. This young lady, if she chooses, has a vocal talent that can take her where ever she chooses. She is that good. Her age is irrelevant. Just watch and wait. You will be hearing from Anna Christine for decades to come.

Yes Anna is good but the dancing kids were good too. it was wrong of the show to put these two great talent against each other. If I had to pick between the two I would go with the kids, too many singers on the show, and way too many singing shows out there. Yes Anna will have a great career ahead of her but so do the dancing kids, they are that good.

America got this SOOOOOO wrong : Anna Christine – the BEST singer in the competition goes home, yet Jimmy Rose – an OK country singer with great story goes on…as Howie states this should have been based on talent, not background …

America blew it for you Anna – I’m so sorry to see you go..

PLEASE PLEASE be proud of what you’ve accomplished in the competition…

I cant wait to watch you become a HUGE star….

I am so tired of subpar country signers going through on AGT, Jimmy Rose is just an average talent. Not bad, but not nearly as entertaining as Timber Brown or the comedian. And Anna outings him in every way. What a joke…

Anna was a very strong performer but did not quite have her act the way she wanted it because she didn’t get to show off her excellent piano playing on her last performance. She shouldn’t have admitted any mistakes in her second performance on the darkened stage. She should have just blasted through her troubles like Aida Nikolaychuk did when she won the 2012 Ukrainian X Factor show despite various difficulties. I don’t see Anna’s voice getting weaker. She might try writing songs for her big voice like Emily Bear who writes for the Sante Fe symphony and Hollie Steel who had some her own challenges on Britain’s Got Talent. There is no such thing as a mistake if you are the composer.

So sad to see Anna not make it to the finals, she’s a very talented girl. It’s a shame that this silly kids dance couple was picked over her, what a joke they are! Oh well, surely some record company will be contacting Anna soon, her voice is incredible.

I agree that D’Angelo and Amanda are incredibly talented, but as someone else said, they already one a dancing competition show. Anna Christine was a fresh talent who deserved her time in the spotlite. Not to mention her performance of Wild Horses was much stronger than D’Angelo and Amanda’s performance this week. If they had done the pasodoble this week, it would have been close. But they didn’t. The real joke is that Jimmy Rose made it through rather than Anna Christine. If you listen to the performances back to back, there’s no comparison, Anna Christine is clearly the superior singer.

Oh yeah, you try to dance like those children! They are extremely talented. Anna is extremely talented also and I am sure she will have a contract soon just like Jackie Evancho. Forte are the best singers but even though most of them get cut, they still go on to be popular. Even the BAD ones!

Jimmie Rose and Brandon James should have been sent packing. Jimmie just plain isn’t good and Forte puts Brandon to shame so he’s just a waste of a spot. Anna Christine was the best singer on the show (her age is irrelevant) and Timber Brown was always an exciting act to watch. Those two got ripped off

I agree with you on Timber Brown. I’m not that upset about the singers. I think all of the singers are good, but I’m tired of so many singers getting voted through on AGT. I’d be perfectly content if Forte was the only singing act to get through next week. As for the other 5 singing acts that advanced, I’d trade any of them for Timber Brown.
