Kim Jong-Un’s Ex-Girlfriend Executed For Making Sex Tape? — Un-Oh!
Hyon Song-wol, a singer in the famed Unhasu Orchestra of North Korea, was killed with machine guns, according to an unconfirmed report from The Huffington Post. So were 11 members of the orchestra and the Wangjaesan Light Music Band, another North Korean music group.
The group was arrested on Aug. 17 for making and selling a sex tape, violating North Korean pornography laws. Three days later, their families had to watch the executions before being sent off to North Korea’s dreaded prison camps under the country’s “guilt by association” rule, according to The Chosun Ilbo, a South Korean newspaper. Both musical groups have since been disbanded.
Kim Jong-Un & Hyon Song-Wol’s History
Kim Jong-un and Hyon Song-wol met about 13 years ago, but disapproval from Kim Jong-un’s father, Kim Jong-il, led to a breakup around 2006, when Hyon Song-wol married and had a baby with a North Korean officer. After Kim Jong-il’s death, rumors flew that the former couple had rekindled their relationship.
King Jong-un’s new wife, Ri Sol-ju, was coincidentally a member of the Unhasu Orchestra before their marriage, but it is unclear whether she played a part in the execution of his ex.
