In his “I Have a Dream” speech, Dr. King called for an end to racism in America. He delivered the famous address from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to more than 250,000 civil rights supporters, and his rousing words are still an inspiration to countless people all over the world. Dalai Lama Tweets ‘Dream’ Video On Anniversary Of MLK’s ‘I Have A Dream’ Speech
Even the Dalai Lama tweeted about Dr. King on Dream Day. In honor of the “I Have a Dream” speech, the Dalai Lama sent out a video of himself at his home in Dharamsala, India, speaking about his hopes and dreams for the future.
He says he always has one dream — that within this century, the world will “truly become a real happy human family.” He believes that through education, we can achieve a “sense of oneness of humanity” that will rid the world of violence and sorrow. Dr. King would surely approve of the Dalai Lama’s moving words!
