This week’s round of semi-final cuts left six acts headed to the next round and six acts going home. Did your favorite(s) get a spot in the top 12?

America’s Got Talent is turning up the heat in the competition in the first round of semi-finals. The road to the top 12 is a tough one as six acts were sent home after the Aug. 27 performances. Some of our favorites were saved by America’s vote and some made their last appearance on the Radio City Music Hall stage. The Voice winner Cassadee Pope also performed her hit single “Wasting All These Tears.”

‘America’s Got Talent’ Aug. 28 Results:

Innovative Force, one hit wonder Tone Tha Chiefrocca, and juggling extraordinaire Red Panda were the first acts to face elimination. This one was a no brainer. There was no doubt that Innovative Force wouldn’t move on. America voted right on these young ladies.

Acrobat couple Duo Resonance, singer Jonathan Allen, and tenor group Forte were up next. Now this elimination is ultimately between Jonathan and Forte. They are both so good! Howie Mandel predicted that Forte’s incredible performance would send Jonathan home — and he was right. While we are sad to lose Jonathan, we can’t help but be happy for Forte!

The battle between the comedians and magic was on! Comedians Angela Hoover and Taylor Williamson and teen magician Collins Key were the third group fighting it out for a top 12 spot. It was no surprise that fan favorite Collins avada kedavrad himself into the next round with America’s vote.

It came down to Angela and Taylor — and it was no laughing matter. This was tough because both comedians had a good night. However, Taylor’s performance edged out Angela’s and he was sent to the top 12. Hopefully we get more Heidi Klum and Taylor banter!

The final trio up for elimination is Catapult Entertainment and singers Cami Bradley and Dave Fenley. There are two spots left and three on the stage. It seems Howard Stern’s comment that “we can’t help falling in love with you” proved true for Cami because she was voted a spot in the top 12.

Once again, it was up to the judges to decide the fate of Catapult and Dave. Mel B obviously chose Dave after he sang a Spice Girls song. Who wouldn’t? Howard’s choice was easy, and he went with Catapult. While she liked both performances, Heidi thought Catatpult’s was just a little bit better than Dave’s. Howie said he was making the toughest choice of the season and he went with…

Catapult Entertainment!

Here you go, America’s Got Talent fans — the top 12 acts! This competition is getting so intense and we know next week’s performances are going to take America’s Got Talent to a whole new level!

So HollywoodLifers, how do YOU feel about tonight’s results? Did your favorite(s) make it to the next round? Let us know!

Cami and Forte are obviously the best talent on what is turning out to be the weakest season, talent wise, for AGT. America’s does have talent, but there is very little on this season of AGT. And I don’t care about the performer’s story, just their ability.

Very sad to see Dave go. And honestly, I didn’t think Collins’ performance was that good.

Jonathan Allen, “U” are just what Forte needs. Everyone loves you and how perfect it would be if the judges arranged to make you the Fourth in the threesome Forte!!!!!

Someone is totally out of their gourd to say Catapult wins the night!! As talented as they are, Forte was HEADS above what anyone else done! Their story makes it even more amazing!

Too bad MelB waisted her wild card on such a stupid act. The object of the show is to award the winner a show in Vegas. So the primary objective should be “who can qualify to do a 90 minute show where people pay upwards of $120.00/person to see the show. Leave your personal taste back at the hotel and bring in your judging talent with you to the show.

your are an idiot…the primary objective is not a vegas show…that’s just a side thing to attract more variety acts. How many of the previous singers that won do you think perform in vegas right now? probably none. The point is to see entertaining talent and b double o t y was the only entertaining and original song on the show.

Agree! We turned the sound down on the TV when they sang. Sick of the song! Mel could have brought back a group with real talent instead of forcing us to watch them AGAIN!

johnathan allen sucked…and so do most of the singers on this show…no one wants to see them. they are the reason i wait til next day to watch on hulu so i can skip the boring singers singing songs performed better by the original artists!!!!

Very disappointed that melb wasted her wildcard she could have used it to save Dave or my favorite johnathan Allen. I was truly disappointed these two were eliminated. I liked cami’s performance last week but, this week I thought her vocals were all over the place and sucked. She should have been eliminated

How is it that a guy like Howie Mandel, who has publicly stated that he is an opera hater, can be picked to be a judge on a show like this? The minute that came out of his mouth I realized, oh, that’s why I don’t like him. He’s not cultured enough to be a judge. WHO has the brains to pick someone like him to judge quality performances when he’s clearly not cultural at all. Stern is awesome, calls it like it is, completely respectful and honest. I think that the public is listening to everything that Stern says and not a damn thing that Howie says. Can’t they remove Mandel next season???? More people would watch the show, like all my friends.

Dave Fenley was good, but maybe young teenagers wouldn’t vote for his body image. Angela Hoover was very good. Don’t get the magic acts – I always find them boring.

Dave was the best talent on the show. We will miss seeing him. He gave us something new every week just like you ask for! Some dress to accommodate their phobias, Howie
