‘NSYNC Reunion At MTV VMAs 2013 — Boy Band To Perform ‘Bye Bye Bye’
‘NSYNC is set to perform their hit song “Bye Bye Bye” from their 2000 album No Strings Attached, according to Us Weekly. So what other songs made the cut?
“They will reenact some of their greatest videos in a medley,” a source tells the magazine. “Then Justin will sing his new song ‘Take Back the Night’ and get his [Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award].”
The former boy band is still finalizing their setlist, but rehearsals for the performance have already begun, according to another source. All of the guys met in New York City on Aug. 23 to practice.
‘NSYNC last performed together during the 2003 Grammy Awards, and fans have been dying to see them reunite ever since! We’re so excited that it’s finally happening!
NSYNC Reunion At VMAs — Joey Fatone’s Dad Confirms MTV Performance
Joey Fatone’s dad, of all people, was the first to reveal the reunion.
“They’re doing a performance,” Joe Fatone, Sr. told Radar Online, following multiple reports that claimed the highly anticipated reunion would be happening.
“I think it’s exciting,” he said before reiterating, “…they’re doing a performance,” as opposed to simply presenting.
Apparently, Joey consulted his dad on the decision to reunite with his bandmates. “I couldn’t even say why he’s doing it though. Why, at this point in his life. Now he’s his own man,” Joey Fatone, Sr. said. “But it’s more to the fact that MTV has made them all somewhat of stars, and also made Justin a star.”
Joey Fatone, Jr., however, denied the reunion reports, with a huge smile on his face, when he was approached by reporters at JFK airport in NYC on Aug. 22.
He sure fooled us.
