Did Eric really burn to death on the season finale of ‘True Blood’? Read on if you don’t mind a little spoiling!
In need of some good news, Eric fans? How about this: True Blood showrunner Brian Buckner tells HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine that everyone’s favorite Nordic vampire is coming back next season! “He will be a series regular,” Brian confirms. “I’m not going to take Alexander Skarsgard out of people’s living rooms.”
Of course, his return won’t come without a hitch — or, rather, without a scorch. To simply bring back the extra-crispy vampire would be “a cheat,” Brian says. Instead, he reminds the site that Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) went off in search of her maker when we last saw her. So, you know, draw your own conclusions there.
The Future Of Sookie & Alcide
Brian describes the six-month time jump as an opportunity to “shuffle the deck” of the show and start anew — and that includes the re-vamped relationship between Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello).
He says it made the most sense to pair Sookie with Alcide because he’s “the most human of all of our creatures.” And while he realizes that Sookie-Alcide fans would have enjoyed seeing the pair hop in bed on the finale, he points out that it would have been almost too much when coupled with Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Violet’s oral sex marathon. Apparently, there really is such a thing as ‘too much sex’ on True Blood.
Bill’s Big Break
Now that Bill (Stephen Moyer) is without his god-like powers, Brian says the Southern gentle-vamp will soften considerably.
“We don’t want Bill to be an a**hole,” he tells the site. “The question we’re going to ask [in season seven] is: Can Bill be forgiven?”
Why do I get the feeling that answer is yes?
