Gia Allemand’s Family Has ‘Beautiful Service’ Planned For Her Funeral

Gia’s funeral will be held on Aug. 22 in NYC and has learned that a ‘number of friends’ are flying up. Read on for our exclusive statement.

Gia Allemand will be laid to rest in New York on Aug. 22 and has learned the plan from her family for this day to remember Gia. We can tell you that the funeral will be held at Trinity Grace Church in Chelsea at 11 a.m. Gia’s family’s rep tells us that they are “overwhelmed with the outpouring of love.”

Gia Allemand’s Family Preparing ‘Beautiful Service’

The funeral arrangements are underway and most everything has been finalized, has learned. We spoke to the family’s rep who released this exclusive statement to us:

The family is preparing for a beautiful service and large showing of support. A number of friends and acquaintances have confirmed their travel plans and are coming to town to pay their respects. We are truly overwhelmed with the outpouring of love. We pray that love is the healer this week.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. and visitation will be the day before at the Papavero Funeral Home from 2 – 5 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m.

Gia Allemand In Church Day Before Suicide

We told you that the day before Gia’s Aug. 12 attempted suicide, she was spotted in church taking notes. That same day she tweeted this verse from Proverbs 21:3: “Doing what is right and fair pleases The Lord more than an offering.”

The day of her attempted suicide, she was also seen teaching at an exercise class. Her NBA star boyfriend Ryan Anderson was the one who found her in her New Orleans apartment.
