So sad she really was fragile walking off the show because she said she hated being around sneaky, lying, people and she wasn’t like that .Gia felt like she was bullied all her life and probably didn’t mean to go to far with the suicide but it happened. Sad for her and her family. It’s really hard when you feel so bad and most things trigger people to kill themselves, a cry for help but they should know if they get help right away the next day they will wonder why they ever thought about doing it.

This is just so sad. I always sensed some kind of sadness or insecurity in her when she was on the show. Such a beautiful girl inside and out….

Can only vaguely imagine the torment the mother will have to suffer for the rest of her life… losing a child, to her own hand. Just not fair. I don’t know how she’ll function, blaming herself and wondering how she could’ve prevented this. (Not saying she could, or that it’s her fault, but as a mom, I know that’s how I’d feel.) Horrible horrible tragedy. I saw this posted elsewhere, so will share (HL, maybe you could append this to all of your articles about Gia? I can imagine that suicidal people might be drawn to these stories.):

“If you, or anyone you know, is struggling with thoughts of suicide, please immediately seek help — you can speak with a skilled, trained counselor at a national Suicide Prevention Lifeline crisis center in your area, anytime 24/7 — call 1-800-273-TALK (8255).”

I saw her twitter page…just the other day she was tweeting normal positive messages. I think people should recognize that when a person appears normal and happy on the outside that they can be having inward struggles. People who suddenly commit suicide have had the thoughts in the past and it’s as disturbingly frightening as going to bed one night feeling OK and then waking up the next day and opening a window and stepping out of it. It’s a decision that doesn’t take a lot of thought – but the impulse in the moment is so strong that it takes over. That’s why people with mood disorders and depression should NEVER be ashamed to speak up and out about this topic. No matter all the good things Gia had in her life she felt badly and wore a mask to hide a lot of what she didn’t want others to know until she had no more defenses left. RIP sweet angel and condolences to her family and friends.
