“had long suffered from depression”, so my guess is some doctor gave her intense mind-altering medication with “thoughts of suicide” listed as the main side effect. I think the prosecutor should go after that doctor the way they went after Michael Jackson’s doctor.

Absolute shame. This girl had a long, wonderful life ahead of her if she could’ve gotten past this dark period.

if u see too they were going to weddings and it seems like she felt her life goal was about accomplishing love and marriage and going to weddings probably made her more depressed she wasn’t married or proposed to and she picked a guy for mating reasons that weren’t necessarily based on true compatibility abut goal-seeking to that end more than first learning to love herself; giving away her power by wanting someone else to love her before she loved herself, we often fell victim to that as younger women. and the Christian aspect they supposedly tauted/had was in conflict because the whole Christian thing is about marriage then living as husband and wife, not living together….and the other Christian piece that bugs me is about the woman supposedly having to be “submissive” to submit to her husband….so many pieces that can drive anyone bonkers on how to love themselves and someone else. And if Gia kept upping the anti and wanting one thing and not waiting to find the right person, but trying to MAKE someone fit the mold of being the right person, then not leaving when it wasn’t the right person….I can’t imagine her giving up….I even wondered if he hung her or if it was the Carradine sexual thing where someone uses a rope to get off orgasmically by cutting off air that way….what a sorry mess overall.

Your article is ignorant, stupidly worded, and highly insensitive. She didn’t “try” to hang herself. She did hang herself. Of course she battled depression become completing suicide. That is the one common factor with 100% of those who complete suicide: they were depressed. And why focus on the boyfriend? He’s dealing with an intense trauma as it is. All couples fight. Why put that kind of accountability on him, rather than support him in his grief. With reporting, comes responsibility. With reporting about suicide, comes the need for sensitivity.
