Incidentally, this is the same restaurant that Kristen was at previously that the tabloids and the paparazzi claimed was in Long Beach. It is obviously No Place Like Home which is on Hillhurst in heart of Los Feliz. Why do you think the X17online & FameFlyNet lied about that in their previous story? Los Feliz is a long long way from Long Beach.

I believe Dakota will start her 3rd year at NYU soon. Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster and Natalie Portman (all as good as it gets) went to college. Kristen’s in good company. Anyway, I like the edgy girl and hope she will stay with acting too.

Wanting and pursuing a higher education is admirable. Better than those others who just go out and always want to party.

It doesn’t matter whether one is home schooled, online, or on campus. It matters that one continues to grow, to learn, to achieve one’s goals. You’re NEVER too old to learn something NEW whether in a school, or just in life itself. When one feels they ARE too old to do so, its time to leave the planet. Sue s support a fellow woman. Don’t be a hater wish her and all others well in any of their endeavors to do better. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you “

I’m sorry that I wasn’t more clear – my comment was about not being a ‘people’ person, not about wanting to get an education.

Brava Kristen!! You are living YOUR dream. You stated in 2011 that you wanted to continue your education. To receive a degree in literature. To become a writer. Like Mother, like daughter. Again, Brava!! Sexy is a great education. Its something that’s always with you. Knowledge IS power ladies. Get yours, and everything else WILL follow for sure. Kristen you don’t need to be in front of the camera for fame..you can also be BEHIND it too as director, writer, producer, and more. So, best wishes in your educational choices.

She was home schooled mainly because of her work. She probably developed the last of personability because of acting at a young age and other children hating her for it, I would become jaded too. It sounds like you have issues with people who take an alternative role on education. People have benefitted greatly by technology and being able to obtain a higher education through online study, I know, I am working on my third accredited degree by doing just that. I has nothing to do with not being a people-person, her life is busy, probably busier than most people. When one works 12-16 hours a day and there is never a set schedule, online courses are a wonderful thing.

How can she go to the university without more school? Here in Denmark you need both a lot of school and really high grades to go to the university.

Again, it doesn’t matter whether one receives their degree on-line, on campus, or whatever way there is in order to receive a degree. The key word here is they are working towards RECEIVING a degree. On line has been a GODSEND for those that want to complete their education but need to work, take care of a family or whatever stops them from attending on a campus during daytime or evening hours. Walk a mile in their shoes before the comments. You might find that you would choose the same in; rder to reach your goals, your dreams. Be positive in your comments and wish her well as you would want for yourself Susan. Peace.

In America, it’s also required from students to have good grades sara that’s for sure. Its noted since she was accepted to UCLA, that Kristen had the grades to meet the college’s standards of acceptance.

Was it truly based on the university’s standard or does UCLA want the bragging rights of having a celebrity enrolled? Given her attitude towards her teachers her grades couldn’t have been that good. The other celebrities that are continuing their education have not publicly dumped on their instructors. There’s no indication she took the SATs, which is required. Slots in college are very competitive; and if a hard working student who put the four years is getting pushed aside for her it’s not fair.

@A64, money opens doors though.
If any of this is even true I’m sure she won’t step foot on campus.
Pretty sure it’s all computer related anyway.
She isn’t taking a slot from other hard working students.
Lots of smart student feel their teachers suck! mostly because we all don’t fit the same criteria when it comes to learning.
Steve Jobs felt his teachers sucked. We all did at some point. It doesn’t make it true though.
We all learn differently. Some of us more then others.
She had to be getting at least a “B” average to keep working while she was under age.
“C” is not gonna cut it!
Meagan Good said it happened to her.
Teacher didn’t like her and gave her a “C”. She couldn’t take any acting Jobs until grades came out again.
I for one am glad they have these rules in place. Some wacko parents will sell their kid up the river for a buck.Leaving them penniless and un-educated.
If this story is true, good for her, continuing to grow.

@acquarius64: Kristen later clarified that in the interview where she said her teachers’ failed her she literally meant they were giving her failing grades. She was working and couldn’t keep up. She has made that statement more clearly on other occasions. I’m not sure if it was the editing in that one interview but the intent was left open to speculation. I have never read where she dumped on her teachers. I have also heard her say in her very first interview with David Letterman when she was only 18 that she had problems.with authority. She didn’t blame her teachers IMO. It was herself she blamed.

She graduated high school, regardless if it was through correspondence or at campus, she is a high school graduate, which is sufficient to enter college depending on that institution’s requirements.

Smith should Americans (America) take offense to your snide comment about the US educational system? We have grand, and excellent colleges and universities in our United States of America. Just ask Brook Shields, Jodie Foster, James Franco, Oprah Winfrey, Denzel Washington, Samuel L Jackson, Matt Damon, Bradley Cooper, Natalie Portman, Kerry Washington, John Legend, Spike Lee, on and on . Too many to name. Highly educated, qualified, and very successful. And your qualifications are?? All talk and NO substance.

I agree with you Twilight08. UCLA only accepts about only 20 percent of applicants who applied. For their own reputation sake, they wouldn’t just accept anyone, not even celebs if they can’t hack it.
