It’s Kendrick Lamar against… everyone! Find out which rappers are taking him to task for his latest mouth-y verse.

If you’re going to call out your competition in a rap verse — like Kendrick Lamar did on Big Sean‘s just-released track, “Control” — you’d better be ready to take some heat from your targets. Pusha TMac Miller and more of the rappers referenced in Kendrick’s rap are responding to his ‘intimidating’ verse on Twitter, and they sure don’t sound too scared.

“I hear u loud and clear my n***a… @kendricklamar” Pusha T tweeted at him.

“If I can’t do no more nouns or verbs ima start comin with the wildest adjective bars that anyone has ever heard,” Mac Miller added.

Kendrick Lamar’s Verse: Other Rappers Chime In

Even big names in rap/hip-hop who weren’t mentioned in Kendrick’s rap appear to have something to say about it.

“KENDRICK!!!!!” Diddy tweeted. “Ohhhh Sh********t”

And in case you’re not sure what Kendrick actually rapped in the first place, here are the lyrics of his verse in question:

I’m usually homeboys with the same ni**as I’m rhymin’ with.

But this is hip-hop and them ni**as should know what time it is. And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron, Tyler, Mac Miller.

I got love for you all, but I’m tryna murder you ni**as.

Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you ni**as.

They don’t wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you ni**as.

You know, just casual threats about murdering careers. No big deal.

HollywoodLifers, what’s your take on Kendrick’s angry rap? Is he getting too big for his britches, or does he have every right to call out some of the biggest names in rap? Drop a comment with your thoughts below!

You’re all taking it out of context. He clearly says it’s about healthy competition. He isn’t calling them out as much as he’s calling them into a conversation to bring hip hop back to it’s battle rap & storytelling roots. He even says “I got love for you all”. Leave it up to people who can’t read or listen to go all ape$h!t over one verse.

He wasnt necessarily dissing them. but to answer the question, he is to big for his britches. most of the people he called out have been rapping longer and are better. especially mac miller.

Wrong. Kendrick is WAY better than Mac Miller. And Kendrick has been rapping since at least 2003 when his first mixtape came out – that predates Miller, Tyler the Creator, Drake and Wale. Mac Miller has only been rapping since 2006 or 2007 when he was 14.
