After 16 years as a co-host on ‘The View,’ Joy said goodbye to the talk show in her final episode on Aug. 9. The tribute show was a perfect celebration of Joy’s 16-year run — and it ended with one final diss from Joy herself!

On Aug. 9, Joy Behar said goodbye to The View couch after 16 years. Her final show featured a bundle of celebrity guests, lots of kissing, emotional moments and Joy dissing a certain former TV anchor!

Joy Behar’s Last Day On ‘The View’

Many of Joy’s celebrity friends came to pay tribute to her, including Regis Philbin, Meredith Vieira, Alan Alda, and Joan Rivers. Tony Bennett also stopped by and performed “The Good Life.”

Of course, it wouldn’t be Joy’s final show without some kissing! The View flashed back to some of her most epic kissing partners, including Jane Fonda and former co-host Meredith! Meredith jokingly told Joy that she was “daytime’s most sensitive lover,” and then they kissed! This started a multitude of kisses from Regis, Barbara Walters and even Whoopi Goldberg.

She also took the time to thank the most important people in her life during her 16 years at The View: the hair and makeup team. Joy, in fun, thanked executive producer Bill Geddie for sex that she said was “the best 14 seconds of my life.” She said that even though she grew up an only child, because of her co-hosts including Barbara, Whoopi, Sherri Shepherd – and the recently departed Elisabeth Hasselbeck – she finally knew what “sibling rivalry” meant.

Joy’s Final, Epic Diss

The whole episode was full of laughs and emotional moments. Both Barbara and Joy got a little teary-eyed as they said their final goodbyes at the View table. Barbara had her sentimental moment and said, “I love you, Joy. We are really going to miss you.” However, one of Joy’s last statements will go down in history as one legendary diss.

In defense of her boss for the last 16 years, Joy said something to Barbara that she always wanted to say: “F*** Harry Reasoner.” For those of you who don’t know, Harry was the former co-anchor of ABC Evening News with Barbara from 1976 to 1978. The two didn’t have a close relationship and he was famously icy toward TV’s first anchorwoman. That’s girl power for you!

I left The View a long time ago as I just can’t stand Barbara Walters – she is so full of self promotionand looking back on the beginning years I really think it was Bill Getty who invisioned this show and loved when he took a more active role but as usual he got too much attention and she got rid of him! On days when I see she is not going to be on I will watch but those days are not frequent enough!

I agree. EVERY GUEST that comes on, she says….”WE GO BACK A LONG TIME!” Whoopi makes fun of her. I LOVE IT! Of coarse you go back a long time…………………………………YOU’RE A 150 friggin years old. Plus, she is SO FRIGGIN RUDE! I can’t stand her.

One of these days, maybe they will get a combination of women I can stand to watch. Not there yet.

I am definitely happy to see her go. She reminds me of Roseanne Barr with her ugly attitude, insults, and big mouth. Whoopie Goldberg is the same way. That whole show needs a change of pace. It is not entertaining to watch these women trying to one-up one another and force their political agendas on all of us.

Good. Morning America is the show to watch. Real people, not trying to out talk each other…It’s also time for Barbara to retire…so sick of hearing all about HER
