This was the “final show” for me. She was in love with Brooks. She should have gone home when he did. But NOOOOOOOO………she HAD to choose someone, right? She chose PUBLICITY. This show makes me sick. I’m done.

Totally agree! To be perfectly honest, I’ve only watch the first 10 or 15 minutes of the first 3 airings of the Bachelorette. This is the most boring and dull show I’ve ever watch! Not to mention the main star of the show, Des, herself is DULL and BORING! She could not carry an “intelligent” conversation with any of the guys and the only way she can get their interest is to be “cutesey” with each of them.

And Des was sooooooooo IN LOVE with Brooks but he dumped her because he is not in love with her!. But now Des claims that with Brooks leaving, it gave her the “opportunity to love Chris more.” She also claims that Chris was “never his second choice.” So Des is saying that Chris is basically “on a stand by” just in case? Does Des have a brain at all?

Fact of the matter is she got DUMPED by Brooks (whom she was sooooooh IN LOVE with) and so she needs to try to SAVE FACE on national television by accepting Chris’ proposal even though her heart is with Brooks! What a flake!

Even though I am not a fan of Brooks, I have a lot of respect for this man for being honest (instead of “leading” her on) about not having real feelings for Des. This goes to Bryden too, who “self-eliminated” himself by leaving Des in Germany for the same reason. It takes a lot of dignity and character to tell someone you are not in love with her/him.

I believe Des and Chris’ relationship will not last, nor will it end in marriage. Chris will soon realize that Des’ heart belongs to someone else; that Des “used” him by accepting his proposal so she can show the world she finally found the man she love.

Bottomline, Des is not only a DESPERATE woman, she is DUMB AND DULL as well!

Ag pleeeeeeeeeeeze, if you have listened very carefully what Desisre said to Chris at the end, you wouldn’t have made such childish comment. She said that she was blind-sided by her love for Brooks that she did not see what was right in front of het – did you understand now?

I guess Brooks can say what he wants NOW, but as a kind, gentleman, he withheld saying about his seeing her kissing, humping., other guys – and also he saw things in Antigua – I think that was the crowning blow for him and reason for not turning back. Her continual tonsil tickling kisses and embraces of others – she caused his split herself. She is probably the best thing that Chris ever had. Brooks on the other hand – can do better.

Well said, Sonja!

Des is a flake, shallow, dull and no substance (intelligence). Des is not the best “catch” by any standard.

And you’re right, Brooks and the rest of the guys she eliminated can do better!

She would have taken him back in a heartbeat. She told him she was in love with him and that she would have married him and then be over it in a week and saying the same thing to Chris. I don’t buy it. She is in it for the fame right now and it will probably be over with them in a couple of months.

I agree! How can she be so madly in love with a guy but he dumped her; then turns around and tell another guy she “love him all along? Des also claims she did not “settle” for Chris because Brooks left; and that Chris “was not her second choice.” That’s a bunch of BS!

Des is trying to SAVE FACE on national televions by accepting Chris’ proposal (even though her heart still wants Brooks)! The bottomline is Des did not want to end the show without being proposed to! Des is DESPERATE for a man! She wants to show the world she finally found the man she loves and who loves her. Really, Des?

Yes, I don’t think their relationship will not last or even end up in marriage. Chris maybe in love (?)with Des, but I think he will soon realize that Des is not really in love with him but only used him for the show!

It’s telling when she was eliminated on The Bachelor, Des jumped right away to become the next Bachelorette (I don’t know how she got the “gig” when there are other beautiful, intelligent contestants on The Bachelor with Sean Lowe). But Sean Lowe saw “through” her and made the right decision not to pick her. For good reasons, as we now saw on The Bachelorette where Des showed what she really is – DULL and BORING!

At the moment, I thought Brooks was doing the upstanding thing by being honest with Desiree and letting her go. But now, after reading all his post-show press, I wonder where all this clarity and self-awareness was when she was falling for him, ugh I wish he would have left sooner.
