I’m just plain and simple mad at Cory all these weeks later. At the same time I love and miss him in this world.

Also, I agree with the other comments that he may not have been the best role model, but I also think that about Amy Whinehouse and Whitney Houston. Then again, Amy and Whitney were both products of abuse by their lover’s. I’m kind of ashamed that I had such a huge respect for Amy and Whitney, because they weren’t good example’s of how to live life in a respectful manner. Their singing was one thing, their drug taking was another. I remember reading how Whitney’s body had given up on her, due to the drug taking. It mentioned how Bobby Brown had to constantly scoop pieces of crap out of her bottom, because she couldn’t go to the toilet properly anymore. She ended up almost a vegetable. Drug takers never think how their body may eventually give up functioning. That’s not a good way to end up (no pun intended), with pooh stuck in your arse. That kind of pain can be traumatizing. It can leave you disabled. I don’t mean to sound so dogmatic about it, but what a way to spend the final years of your life. I doubt many drug user’s will remember most of their life, because drugs put you on a high, so your memory could wane. Anyway they shrink the human brain. Sorry Cory ;(

But cory did try and stop. He went to rehab twice i believe. Cory wanted to stop using drugs he wanted to be with lea. I dont know if amy and whitney tried but he did, he didnt win the battle but at least he tried to fight it.

It’s sweet :) I just wish the press would stop hounding her. They don’t seem to understand what a death can do to someone. It’s really disrespectful. I wouldn’t dream of shoving a camera in someone’s face or asking such personal question’s, while they’re grieving. Here’s hoping Lea never lashes out on you press people like Britney Spears did. Because even the sweetest rose can still have thorns. And yes, some people never heal, because they have to risk their pride, but it would be downright dirty of me to think Cory was that shallow.

My heart breaks for Lea and I’m sure Cory is still with her and can’t let go because of his deep regret. She will be the one he loves forever and the dreams will continue to occur her whole life long as he struggles to express his love and sadness and confusion to her. I have been through this and after 15 yrs he still comes into my dreams without warning and I know he can’t let go not just of me but his life cut short. God bless Lea

I still wonder if anyone had tried to talk him out of going to Canada, since he was said to feel tempted there. I hope that Lea doesn’t feel guilty for not being there with him, he must have convinced everyone that he was fine.

maybe lea could have been more responsive to cory, who knows. only lea, cory and god know for sure, but you can’t stop a drug addict from taking drugs unless you stick him in a mental hospital where he can’t get out. i know for a fact. the addict has to make the decision to do it himself or herself. BUT, PLEASE HOLLYWOOD LIFE, you are my favorite magazine and i read you everyday here and buy the magazines, STOP writing about cory or you will lose a lot of viewers. we are tired of reading about cory and lea’s love for him and that she is missing him terribly. you write the same things all day long 20 times a day ever since he died. stop immortalizing cory. he was a drug addict, bad example and not a good role model for the people who read your mag.

stop making stuff up

Get you facts straight. First she did not pick the song she recorded, we also know that the picture has nothing to do with the tribute episode. You contradicted yourself in the the video. How can they be filming the tribute then say they are still writing the tribute episode. The photo could be something about the a actual scene she doing and nothing about her current state she has tweeted fun and more scene orientated pics before.

Leo in Edmonton Alberta, that is a horrible, inaccurate and hurtful thing to say! Was Lea supposed to be with Cory 24/7 to be sure he decided not to use drugs? That would have made her his guard not his girlfriend! Cory knew Vancouver and his old friends would be tempting for him and he chose to go to Vancouver anyway. While Cory was there he had to know he was becoming tempted and yet he apparently stayed instead of heading to the airport and catching a flight back to LA or better yet calling someone like Lea, his mom, brother, cousin, sponsor and saying I need help because I might slip. Cory could have done any of those things but instead Cory chose to use drugs and it killed him. You can’t put the responsibility for an addict’s conduct on anyone but the addict!

sure lea can’t sleep at night so she’s had someone with her every night.. what a load of crap??
where was she when cory was alone for all 7 night in Vancouver and on the 7th night he screwed up and if lea had been there I bet you he would still be alive because you don’t leave an addict alone especially in Vancouver or in fact for a few months according to doctors and acciction counsellars;
Ryan Murphy has said that Glee will soon return and will deal with Monteith’s death in its storyline. “What we’ve been talking about in the writer’s room is that maybe the way we deal with this tragedy might save the life of someone,” he told Deadline Hollywood. If he really wants to do that, Murphy needs to fire his current “experts” and learn the truth about addiction.

Stop blaming Lea for his mistakes. She could not and should not be responsible to be there 24’7 for the rest of his life. He should have hire someone with experience to stay with him. You are a despicable person for putting the blame on her when he is to blame.

Just stop Leo. She is not and was not responsible for him that is the truth. I do not disagree that he could have gotten better/more help but once again that is for him to do not anyone else. Your anger is misplaced.

Guys, drugs are accessible – cam be bought anywhere, anytime. Yes, there are particular streets in Van in fact the poorest where drugs and other crimes are rampant. Cory, an opiate addict, just got out from a 30-day program rehab. Addicts have the possibilities to relapse. Heroin is higlhly addictive. But it doesn’t mean that when an addict relapses though, he/she doesn’t have the chance to recover. In Cory’s case, he struggled with substance abuse half of his life. Opiates alter some parts of your brain to make you to crave it for more. I don’t know why Cory just tool a 30-day program and whether he had follow up treatment after. What even made his case worse was that he took alcohol and heroin at the same time which were both depressants. It’s so lethal that when you take these at the same time you’ll get sedated that you won’t be able to call for help. And it’s also more likely that it was his first relapse and he tool the same amount he used to shoot but he had detox which made his body intolerant so the result – OD. Just so terribly sad, alcohol and heroin!!! But to experts or some people, while it’s terribly sad it was not shocking to them for a (long-time) addict who just got out of rehab, relapsed and OD’d.

Leo in Edmonton Alberta, why don’t you learn the truth about addiction and personal responsibility? Was Lea supposed to be with Cory 24/7 to be sure he decided not to use drugs? That would have made her his guard not his girlfriend! Cory knew Vancouver and his old friends would be tempting for him and he chose to go to Vancouver anyway. Cory could have gone anywhere in the world and yet he chose to go to the worst place in the world for him! While Cory was there he had to know he was becoming tempted and yet he apparently stayed instead of heading to the airport and catching a flight back to LA or better yet calling someone like Lea, his mom, brother, cousin, sponsor and saying I need help because I might slip. Cory was seeing people who didn’t do drugs, talking to friends on the phone who knew what he was battling and he could have told anyone of them he needed help but he chose not to! Cory could have told Lea he was slipping and needed her and I bet she would have dropped everything to help! Instead Cory was looking good and acting as though he had beaten his demons when the truth was he hadn’t. Cory’s ego, pride and desire for drugs kept him from doing what he should have done to keep himself safe.- you can’t blame Lea for that!

Leo in Edmonton Alberta, why don’t you learn the truth about addiction and personal responsibility? Lea wasn’t his prison warden – she was Cory’s lover! Cory grew up in Canada and while he still considered it home it is also the place he became an addict there so he shouldn’t have gone there! Cory could have gone anywhere in the world and yet he chose to go to the worst place in the world for him! You clearly do not know addiction or better yet addicts. It could be a lot easier for addicts and for their families if the case were like that! But things don’t work for them that way. I don’t want to explain it here for it’d be tooooo long. You need to research more about addiction so you could at least understand their situation. Just want to say though that in Cory’s case, he was a life-long addict (opiates particularly) just got out of a 30-day program rehab. Addicts who just had rehab have high possibilities to relapse. It’s just a moment of weakness for them. There were cases I know that a recovering addict who dined with non-user friends at a cafe and then went home, relapsed and OD’d. And for long-time opiates addicts, it just doesn’t take months to get well. It takes years. Heroin is so addictive. Addiction doesn’t vanish overnight, takes time to kick. Addicts are SLUGS sick, lonely, unable, guilt-ridden, shame-filled that’s why they need SLUGS too sobriety, love, unity, growth and spirituality.
