Welcome (back) to ‘The O.C.,’ b***h! See what the stars are saying a decade after the show’s premiere — including Rachel’s hilarious YouTube tribute to Summer.
The O.C. premiered exactly 10 years ago today, making Aug. 5 officially “O.C. Day,” the second-most important holiday ever — next to Chrismukkah, of course. And speaking of Chrismukkah, Josh Schwartz and Rachel Bilson have put together an incredible gift for fans of the iconic Fox drama.
Stepping back into the role that made her a household name, Rachel delivers her best “Chino? Ew!” in the most incredible six-second video that anyone has ever posted to YouTube. It was uploaded by Josh, and tweeted out with a simple preface: “Rachel Bilson has a message for fans 10 years later.”
But Rachel isn’t the only former O.C. star to chime in on this very special day!
‘The O.C.’ Stars Tweet About 10th Anniversary
Peter Gallagher — who played eyebrow-enthusiast and best-dad-ever Sandy Cohen — tweeted, “The tenth anniversary of #THEOC! Bagels and schmears for all! Many thanks for the kind words. We were a lucky bunch. Cheers!”
In response to Josh’s original tweet, Melinda Clarke — aka Julie Cooper-Nichol-Roberts-something — thanked the show’s creator, calling that time in her life “amazing.”
Autumn Reeser — who ended up with Ryan (Ben McKenzie) — tweeted, “Really enjoying all this 10th anniversary #OC buzz today! Thanks, everyone!!”
Sadly, neither Ben nor Mischa Barton nor Adam Brody tweeted about this momentous occasion. In fact, Adam hasn’t tweeted since March. Can someone check on him please?
