Three weeks after the death of her beloved boyfriend and ‘Glee’ co-star, Cory, Lea is easing her way back into work, and on August 5, she spent the day doing what she does best — singing!
Lea Michele‘s strength and perseverance in the face of this terrible tragedy has been truly inspiring to everyone around her — including the cast and crew of Glee. Lea was spotted leaving the recording studio after her first official day back at work on the set of the musical dramedy, and she tweeted that she had a great session! Read on to find out more details.
Lea Michele Recording For ‘Glee’ — She Tweets About ‘Beautiful & Perfect Song’
Lea didn’t reveal the name of her first song for season five, but we’re guessing it’s a Beatles tune since Glee will be kicking off the season with a Beatles tribute episode. Lea was so excited about her recording that she wanted to share it with the world.
“Thank you @alxanders & @AdamAnders for a great recording session today.. You guys are the best❤,” Lea tweeted after leaving the studio.
“Couldn’t have picked a more beautiful & perfect song to start the year with..,” she added in another tweet.
It’s amazing that Lea is staying so positive as she copes with her devastating loss — and we’re not the only ones who think so!
“You were absolutely magnificent today. I am in awe of your strength and your sweet spirit. Love you. #leastrong,” Alex tweeted back at her.
“You are the strongest person I know. That was truly amazing. Love you xoxo #leastrong,” Adam added.
It’s good to know that Lea has people who love her supporting her as she returns to the set of Glee, where she first met and fell in love with Cory. Despite Lea’s brave face, we know this has to be so hard for her, especially because she is now completely surrounded by reminders of the love of her life. Stay strong, Lea!
Lea Michele On ‘Glee’ Set — Cast Is ‘Somber’ But ‘Happy’
Being back at work is a bittersweet experience for the cast and crew, a source close to the show tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
The feel of the set is “very somber, but everyone is happy to be with one another,” the source reveals.
It’s hard to grieve, but even harder to grieve alone, so it’s good that the cast and crew will have each other to lean on during this difficult process.
Lea will be heading a musical tribute for Cory, which will definitely be a painful but cathartic experience for her. Lea is an amazing singer, in part because you can truly feel the emotion in each one of her performances. Her recordings this season will no doubt be filled with more passion and pain than ever, but we hope singing will help Lea work through her grief.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you inspired by Lea’s decision to return to work, or do you think it’s too soon?
