She’s the character you loved to hate in ‘Bridesmaids’ and the Google executive that charmed Owen Wilson’s heart in ‘The Internship.’ Now, Rose Byrne is keeping up her comedy streak in her new movie, ‘I Give It A Year.’

Rose Byrne has had one busy year! She finished her five year run on the TV show Damages and has multiple movies released and in production. HollywoodLife.com talked to Rose EXCLUSIVELY at the special screening of her new movie I Give It A Year on July 30 and she spilled about the film, her fear of birds, and a certain Hollywood heartthrob.

Rose Byrne Talks Marriage, ‘Manic Birds, & Zac Efron

In I Give It A Year, Rose plays one half of a newlywed couple who struggle with the trials and tribulations of the first year of marriage. When HollywoodLife.com spoke to Rose EXCLUSIVELY, she had some advice for newly-married couples and told us what she learned from the film.

I would take it [marriage] with a grain of salt and have a good laugh about it. It’s sort of about just examining a couple who shouldn’t be married rather than marriage itself. I think that’s so personal, whether you want to do it or not or whether you can or not. I feel it’s such a personal thing. This film is an examination of a mismatched couple doing something really impulsive, which can work as well but in this case it doesn’t.

Weddings and marriages mean lots of romance, right? Rose told us that while she was shooting a “romantic gesture” in the film, she was scared for her life!

I have a sequence where I’m surprised with all these doves that were a romantic gesture and I’m really scared of birds in real life. It was an incredibly terrifying two days of my life where I had to deal with these manic birds whizzing around my head and it was quite overwhelming.

HollywoodLife.com also chatted Rose about her upcoming film Townies starring Hollywood uber hottie Zac Efron. We all know we’d go crazy if we ever saw Zac, so were there lots of screaming girls around set?

There was a lot of paparazzi. Zac gets followed everywhere and I don’t know if I’ve ever been on a set where I remember there was lots and lots of paparazzi. He’s a real favorite.

To be honest, that doesn’t surprise us at all about Zac. He is Zac Efron after all.

We look forward to seeing all that Rose has coming out in theaters this year! Comedy, drama, anything! I Give It A Year hits theaters in limited release August 9.

So HollywoodLifers, will YOU be heading to the theater to check out I Give It A Year? Let us know!
