After 13 years of patience, H&M launched it’s e-commerce online site! Online shopping is the easiest way to grab the latest trends and have them delivered right to your door — and now you can do so with this retailer. Are you surprised they waited so long?

H&M originated in Sweden and made it’s way to the US in 2000, opening it’s first store in NYC. Although they’ve had online shopping opportunities through other sites, the company has finally worked out ‘all the kinks’ that way all shopaholics out there can browse with ease on H&M’s website. H&M E-Commerce Launch:

At long last it’s here! Now that the wrinkles have been ironed out, US fashionistas can order H&M apparel and accessories directly from the the site. The brand officially hit the switch without much fanfare, simply an announcement made on Twitter and Facebook FB +1.74% to some 17 million followers. Daniel Kulle, H&M’s U.S. president, told WWD that the retailer was taking an omni-channel approach with an updated mobile app to complement the e-commerce site and physical locations in 32 states. The company also plans to mail print catalogues starting in the fall.

H&M Online Shopping: What Took So Long?

The brand was previously excited to launch their online shopping site in the past, but due to unfortunate occurrences, H&M hesitated to do so. The company underwent serious media attention earlier in the year due to a factory collapse in Bangladesh that killed over 1,000 workers. Despite the setback, the company has gotten back on their feet and released via Twitter, the launch of the site. They have worked out all the issues that could possibly arise with the newly launched platform — issues that include secure shopping, receiving payments, and supply chain problems.

H&M Home:

The most amazing thing about the H&M e-commerce shopping option is that the ‘Shop Online’ launch is also the premiere of H&M Home! This line will offer a slew of home decor pieces and accessories available exclusively via the online website. Although the H&M stores offer up to size 14, plus-size women can use the online shopping option to purchase clothing. ‘H&M Shop Online’ is now offering clothes up to a size 24. We are so excited that the site has given the public new options and the ability to shop from home.
