Princess Diana may be gone, but ‘The People’s Princess’ is most certainly not forgotten. ‘Vanity Fair’ has placed an absolutely beautiful picture of the late Princess of Wales on their 2013 Style Issue, and it reminds us just how lovely Diana truly was.
Princess Diana tragically passed away on August 31, 1997 at the age of 36, yet her legacy lives on. Case in point: Vanity Fair has placed her on the cover of their coveted September issue. The article inside the mag focuses on Diana’s much talked about love life and relationship with Pakistani heart surgeon Hasnat Khan, but we were more preoccupied with how stunning she looked on the cover.
Princess Diana On Vanity Fair’s September 2013 Cover — Gorgeous Blue Eyes
Princess Diana shows off her signature gorgeous blue eyes in the famous photo shot by Mario Testino in London in March of 1997, just five months before her untimely death.
While some may find Vanity Fair‘s decision to place Diana on the cover as in poor taste, we actually find it to be a touching tribute. After all, with the recent birth of Diana’s grandson Prince George, the former Princess’s memory is now quite present in the public conscience.
Plus, the cover only serves to remind us just how lovely the Princess of Wales was — both inside and out. This iconic photograph features her lovely English rose complexion, much-talked about blonde hair, and of course — her beautiful, kind blue eyes.
