Lea Michele’s Cory Monteith Tweet — Her First Words After His Death – Hollywood Life

Lea Michele: Cory Monteith ‘Will Forever Be In My Heart’ — First Tweet

Lea is breaking her online silence for the first time since her boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith, was found dead July 13. It's been an emotional few weeks for Lea Michele, the most emotional of her life, in fact. She hasn't tweeted a single character since Cory Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room July 13, but now, she's ready to make her feelings public. "Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support," the Glee star tweeted to her 3.5 million+ Twitter followers July 29. "Cory will forever be in my heart."

Along with her tweet, Lea attached a heartwarming — and heartbreaking — photo of herself with Cory enjoying the sunset.

Our thoughts remain with Lea at this incredibly difficult time.

‘Glee’ Cast Says Goodbye At Cory Monteith Memorial

Lea, along with the cast and crew of Glee, came together July 25 at Paramount Studios to bid farewell to Cory. A source close to the situation told HollywoodLife.com about the atmosphere of the ceremony:

Many of the cast were talking about their memories based on specifics places of the set. The memorial was basically a remember ‘what happened here or there’ type of situation. … Everyone was crying. There were about 200 people there, and tears started flowing every time a story was told, but there were laughs and smiles as well. … It was exactly what you would expect when people get together to give respect to a person that was so important to them.”

So sad.
